My husband, myself, and our dog, stayed at Teri’s place from mid-July to mid-August, and had a great time. Philipsburg is a charming town, and we loved the house and the fabulous front porch. Teri is a great host.
Regulating the temperature in the house wasn’t a problem. We closed it up in the morning and opened it up after the sun went down and the temp dropped. There are fans for the warmer days. The cool mornings were fantastic.
The fenced yard was good for our dog, but there are gaps around the gates that a small or motivated dog could exploit. We didn’t have any problems, beyond our dog chasing deer away from the fence. 🙃 One nearby neighbor who was rarely there and very nice.
The brewery is great, as is the Creamery and the new Porter’s Corner Cafe. I found everything I needed at the grocery store in town. I recommend kayaking on Georgetown Lake and exploring the Echo Lake Trail system.
The location is very walkable to downtown, but the hill back up is steep! Good cardio.
We would stay again if we’re in the area.
