South of here is the RSPB Minsmere nature reserve (8 miles), where you can bird watch, follow hiking trails and discover viewpoints. Step back in history during your visit to the 1182 Leiston Abbey ruins (8.5 miles) and admire the Tudor buildings in the quaint village of Aldeburgh (16 miles).
