The tops of the tables and dressers were greasy, the toilet was constantly filling with a loud squealing noise. The pool was dirty on the bottom, so we didn't use it. We were also informed there was no breakfast on memorial day... Will not stay again.

I did not like the attitude of the woman during checkout and the fact that you have to give a $50 deposit and then they check the room before they return the deposit .

Though the room was clean it, smelled sour. Like someone had burned pungent incense in it. Room is made for 2 people but only given 2 towels and wash clothes with 1 hand towel. Most people use 2 towels. They did not have a floor mat, had to use the hand towel to stand on when getting out of the shower. Love that their shampoo and conditioner were gluten free!

The indoor pool was beautiful and warm, the rooms were great for the price and the service was excellent. 50$ deposit and they offer early check in @ 10$ per hour early. Pretty good hotel and I would stay again.

Every hotel in Hagerstown went threw a full inspection, just because the smoke detector was not mounted right they condemned the room until brought up to code. We have no condemned rooms after a new inspection. I will be sure to share this with the upper ownership.

This is an old hotel, being operated by foreign nationals who have very different and much lower standards of guest care. They advertised a full breakfast bar, ther was none. The pool was closed. There were construction materials stored in the lobby. The reception counter had a glass barrier across the entire length with small pass through slots. The receptionist was curt. There was grime in the tub and elsewhere. Several large wall patches were very rough and unfinished. The bed was so uncomfortable neither my wife or I got much sleep. I could continue …

They are trying, but no thanks.
The place was trying to fix itself up but my room had peeling paint and missing light fixtures. The pool was too chilly to use, and the rust stains in the pool didn't make it very inviting. It was also over chlorinated. It had the vibe of a run down residential hotel with no smoke smell. Won't go there again.

There seems to be a trend in the Motel business where people are buying these motels and they don't have enough money left to maintain the property. The attention to detail that the American market expects is extremely lacking. No ironing board in the room (there WAS an iron), the thumb switch on the desk lamp is gone so you have to screw the bulb in and out to activate the light. Someone paints but they miss their target and paint parts of the hinges or the floor etc. This building is beautiful though. It has so much potential but it needs a cash injection and they could get $120 a room easily.

Not impressed.
The hotel is definitely dated. Walked past room on 2 doors down from our room with orange condemned sticker on door. No amenities like soap, shampoo etc. hairdryer not functioning.

We do have all those amenities that are to be in rooms but we also have them at the front desk if requested. As for the 1 or 2 doors with the condemned signs. All Hagerstown hotels went under a full inspection of rooms per city and fire Marshall in the month of October so if something did not meet there standards and it could have been as small as a missing smoke detector then the rooms were shut down with a 30 turn around to fix any issues and reopen. We have 200 rooms so if we had 1 or 2 rooms shut down temporarily then I say that's not so bad.

Price was good value for my needs. TV and remote were all working. Bathroom was clean, toilet worked, rest of bathroom was fine. Linens were older, but bed comforter. The room did have a musty smell, but I had Lysol.

The one manager, Karen, was super helpful, professional, and nice. The other lady in charge was just outright rude right away. Like she's miserable working there. The rooms are exactly as good as what you're paying for. If you're looking to spend less on a hotel room then this is the place to go. No other real complaints.
