"This huge elegant house is a remarkable place to stay, the opposite of a bland holiday villa, it has cool marble floors & frescoes but somehow doesn’t take itself too seriously. We have 8 children between ages 2 to 16 and we were swallowed up in the massive rooms. All of the children enjoyed it: the pool, the massive basement playroom and billiard table, the great stone fireplace where we lit a fire one cooler evening in October.The host Lucia was extremely kind to us although we arrived very late because of heavy traffic and losing our way, and was readily helpful but respectful of our privacy during our stay.The enchanted fountains of the Villa d’Este or the Villa Adriana are a short drive, and Rome centre can be reached easily in under an hour by driving to the end of line B and taking the Metro at Rebibbia.This is in our opinion very definitely superb value for a larger group or family such as ours, who have a car to get around. We will remember the villa as a fascinating character whom we met on the holiday."

Our complimentary breakfast was sufficient, to our taste, and served by a friendly service staff. We will seek out La Tenuta di Rocca Bruna for our next stay near Tivoli."

"Great staff Andrea was very helpful for parking my car and taking us to the city center on the first day since we were unfamiliar with the area. Also Andrea took our luggage from our car to our room on the first day and on the last day he took our luggage from our room to our car. "
