Nice hotel in the historical city centre
Nicely refurbished hotel in the very centre of historical Gyor but still in calm neighbourhood. Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy bed. Two negatives: twin bed requested, double bed received. TV in room 211 did not work.

Wonderful staff. Great breakfast and walking to everything so easy. Staff knowledgeable and given recommendations for restaurants were amazing.

This hotel is lovely! The property is situated close to downtown which makes it convenient for walking to restaurants and shops. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, private parking and friendly staff.

Issue paying by card
I have been guest on this place several time but I wasn’t able to pay by AMEX however theoretically they accept AMEX. Last time we weren’t able to pay with any card. This is unacceptable.

Dear Guest! We are very sorry for the inconvenience, however we would like to inform you that we only accept Visa or Mastercard. As you mentioned theoretically we try to accept AMEX cards but we can not gurantee that your payment will go through. This is sadly a nationwide problem due to the fact that in Hungary only one bank has a contract with AMEX and every payment has to go through this one bank. If a hotel/restaurant works with an other bank, the payment by AMEX has to go through at least two banks. First the one bank, with whom the hotel/restaurant has their contract, than the other (and only) one who has a contract with AMEX. Usually the second round of verification does not go through, but this is totally out of our control. We kindly ask our guests to have an other type of card (Visa or Mastercard) with them, in order to avoid this difficulty. We are sorry that you could not pay with any card during your last visit. Since then, we solved the problem and we are trying to make our services as fast and comfortable as we can. Sincerely, Hotel Capitulum

Great Place To Stay
Highly recommended. Great location and great service. Friendly and helpful. Comfortable room with a good armchair and footstool. Very quiet yet in the old town area. Staff went out of their way to attend to any needs. Rooms are climate controlled by setting the thermostat in the room, there is a lift, etc., all conveniences. Breakfast was good. A huge early breakfast was packed for me when I had to leave before the regular breakfast time.

GoNice hotel, inconvinient parking
Pro: Clean, elegant hotel, nice breakast, professional service Con: No soap holder in shower, have to use the floor Very tight carpark with steep ramp. Not suitable for business traveler with bigger car. You might be able to squeeze in the car but will have difficulties getting out of car. I recommend You have a look at garage before driving inside

Great business trip hotel.
Great hotel for a business trip. In the middle of old town, about 300 meters from the town square. Good breakfast, but no amenities (pool, gym, etc.)

Very enjoyable stay
I stayed here for 2 nights. It's located in the old town of Gyor which is very nice and scenic. The hotel is quite new and modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large and very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was quite good. The wifi was decent. I would happily stay again.

Schönes ziemlich neues Hotel mit zentraler Lage in der Altstadt. Die Zimmer haben eine gute Grösse und sind komfortabel eingerichtet. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer wahr gut, leider wahren im Bad viele Verkalkungen der Armaturen vorhanden das hat mich ein wenig gestört. Das Morgenbuffet wahr gross und einladend. Leider musste ich verstellen das ab ca 10.00 Uhr wahrscheinlich nicht mehr aufgefüllt wurde. Ein absolutes no go für ein 4* Hotel fand ich die Automatische Getränke Anlage für Saft, Wasser und co. Für diese Hotel Klasse erwarte ich ein richtiger Orangensaft und nicht einer der aus Konzentrat gemischt wird.

Terrific hotel in the middle of Gyor
This hotel was very comfortable, and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Much of the hotel seems to have gone through some renovations. The hotel is quietly located on a small side street in the old portion of Gyor. The hotel is small and doesn’t overwhelm its surroundings. It’s a terrific pedestrian friendly location close to all the sights including the Danube. Gyor is a wonderful destination in Hungary, and the Hotel Capitulum was an equally wonderful host.

Great, quiet place with a fantastic staff
I really enjoyed the hotel. The staff was very attentive and helpful, in multiple languages! I asked for a few extra items and they were delivered within the hour even though they were not needed until the evening.

Restaurant is quite small considering the number of rooms. We could not have breakfast at 8.30. We managed it half an hour later. There is no microwave available in the restaurant for the guests where i could warm up some milk for my 2-year old son. Staff looked at me strange when I asked to have it warmed up... On the other hand the hotel and the room was clean. But the tableclothe was in a bit "used" condition when we finally managed to have breakfast...

Excellent hotel, still slightly under construction
We stayed here for three nights. Located in a great (though almost hard to find) spot on a quiet pedestrian street. The hotel has recently been renovated, though sections of it are incomplete (we walked up a staircase to get to our room that was actually blocked off - I moved the barrier - because there weren't any hand railings installed...oops). The breakfast was adequate, the hotel itself very clean and new, and the room very spacious. Will stay here again when I return to the city in the future.

Zimmer staubig, Badezimmer mangelhaft, Tiefgarage zu eng, unbrauchbar. Wollte man trotzdem in Rechnung stellen. Das schlechteste Frühstück + Service am Frühstück in meinem Leben: eckelhaft und katastrophal. Unprofessionelles, ungeschultes Personal. "Familienzimmer" ist für Familien völlig unbrauchbar. USW...........

Les installations sont belles en apparence mais elles étaient de mauvaise qualité (ex: belle douche mais les portes n'ouvrent pas bien, la robinetterie ne fonctionnait pas bien. Aussi, l'air climatisé s'est mis à couler du plafond en pleine nuit)

Für einen Städtetrip sehr gute Lage, Personal jung motiviert, klasse Zimmer, Tiefgarage empfehlenswert aber ca. 200 m entfernt ein klasse Parkhaus !
