Recently remodeled, mid century cabin, located in downtown Gunnison!

Close to downtown with shopping and restaurants, across the street from campus, bus route and park. Ice rink is just a few block away as well! Brand new appliances, including a washer/dryer wine fridge, heated towel rack, keurig coffee maker, grill and outdoor patio. This unique unit is fun, comfortable and ready for memorable experiences!

The unit comes with organic and sustainable Public Goods products. To include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap and dish soap. Coffee and tea with creamers and sugar are also provided. As well as the basics, including toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish detergent, zip locks, tin foil and plastic wrap.

You will be well cared for at the The Gem!

Has a lot of cool stuff..from old cars to old farming equipment to an old school house to a train! Has a collection of old cameras & pianos as well! Definitely worth a look see if you're in the area!

Arguably one of the best properties I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in, The Gem truly lives up to its name. Location-wise, it can’t be beat. Easily walkable to Main St and less than a block away from an incredible park and playground, our 2.5 year old was in heaven. After two days of adventuring, we didn’t have to use the car for the remainder of our stay because we could truly walk everywhere we needed or wanted to go. The house itself was beautifully maintained, clean, and oh so cozy with lovely furnishings. We cooked a lot of our meals (see aforementioned 2.5 year old) and the kitchen was well-appointed with the tools we needed. We were curious how one bathroom would do for four adults — it worked great. The full sink and vanity outside the bathroom and the additional sink in the bathroom is absolutely brilliant design and fit our needs perfectly. The property was easy with a toddler, which was a total dream and let us truly relax into our vacation.Communication with Sierra couldn’t have been easier. She was prompt and thorough in her responses prior to our trip, and when a couple questions arose after we’d checked in, she was equally prompt and supportive. We absolutely loved staying at the Gem. Thank you, Sierra, for creating a true home away from home.

Nice family visit to Gunnison

My wife, daughter, and I enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully renovated ranch home while visiting our son in Gunnison. The unit was very well-appointed and nicely decorated, providing very comfortable accommodations for our four days in the valley. The location within walking distance to downtown and quick access to Hwy 135 to Crested Butte was great. While we had no issues with the tenants in the adjacent unit, the connecting full-glass door in the kitchen with a closed blind only on their side was somewhat unsettling. The door was locked and keyed from our side, but it wasn’t clear how it operated from their side. Given the overall quality of the remodel, I would recommend increasing the level of privacy between the units with additional blinds, or a solid door, and clarity how the door is locked from both sides.

Perfect Fit

This little house was so cute, very clean, beds were comfy and just a perfect set up for a family if 6. The kitchen and dining room had great space and very functional. We loved having the washer dryer. And of course having four girls getting ready...the makeup mirror and sink outside of the barhroom was amazing. The set up and floor plan of this house was designed perfectly for a sweet get away for a family of 6.

Truly a Gem

Lovely home and great location if you are visiting Gunnison/Western Colorado University! Sierra the property manager was excellent and so easy to get a hold of. Looking forward to our next stay at this property in May.

Easy Peasy Nice and Easy - and an Awesome Home

The home is awesome. Everything works! The listing and pics are spot on! Top one or two VRBO experiences for us. The host is wonderful and location is excellent. We were visiting Western Colorado University for our son. If he attends the school, we will try to stay here every time we visit.

The Gem in Gunnison

The property was fantastic for our family of four. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops as well as the Visitors Center and Western Colorado University. We definitely recommend it for a group of up to six people and will stay here again during our next trip to Gunnison.

Hiking week end

Our group of 4 stayed at this rental for a hiking week end! It was a great base to discover the area! Ideally located, walking distance to downtown gunisson! The place is big, ideal for group, the only thing missing is maybe is second bathroom. I would for sure stay there again!
