The staff in general are very nice and attentive including front desk, housekeeping, executive lounge as well as the garden lady 万小鳳. All good except Shang Gong where our group dined three or four times but seems understaffed, thus the serving time kept being delayed.

Hotel is located about 45 minutes from the airport, situated at the li-river. We had a nice walk along the river this morning.

Shangri-La Hotel Guilin is located near the Yushan Bridge, on the east bank of the Lijiang River (the starting point of the elite section of the Li River Scenic Area in downtown), making you feel like you are in the corner of paradise. Without leaving the hotel, you can enjoy various local snacks at the “Food Booth” in the lobby and experience Guilin culture and custom by participating or watching the Bamboo Dance and Mini Cuengh Shows every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Our hotel also has many recreation facilities and activities for children, including Kids Club, Game Lounge, Mini Zoo, Mini Royal train, rock climbing, bumper boats, cobblestone painting, cooking classes, etc., so that children can have full of fun in the hotel every day.

Staff is helpful, plenty of facilities although quite a bit of extra charges, room is very much Shangri-la standard. However, F&B is quite disappointing. Breakfast selection and taste was poor, staff was not engaged and offers below par services.

By far the poorest Shangri La that I have ever stayed in, also full of construction.
Entertainment in the evening was excellent, however.

Great service
The hotel is nice even a little bit old, but we'll maintained. The services provided are great and respect the Shangri La high standards. The personnel is well trained a d good English speaking, included the drivers. All staff very kind and smiling.

Check in was excellent. My room was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The view was amazing. The staff at the hotel were first class, courteous, faultlessly polite and extremely efficient. I would have liked to have stayed longer and will surely be back
