"Read full review. Such a comfortable stay! The amenities like the pool, gym and rooftop are such a great way to really relax and unplug. Things to note though: If you are a wedding guest and are looking for hair and makeup artist do not go with the suggested vendors concierge gives you. Perla (suggested by hotel) was highly unprofessional and arrived 45 mins late to my room to start my hair and make up. She texted me 5 mins before my appointment and told me she was stuck in traffic. It was a Saturday with cero traffic that day (I checked on Waze). The lashes she used on me were terrible and when I saw the result in the mirror had to ask her to change them. She swapped my lashes 4 times which resulted in so much glue on my natural lashes that it damaged them. She didn’t have the tools you would expect a professional would carry. She was rushed and had cero time to ensure her work was good. After she left I noticed the eyeshadow on both eyes didn’t match. I had to call her to come up to the room again to “fix it”. I could go on but overall experience was terrible. I was late to the wedding because of her unprofessionalism.
I would stay here again because of the location and the breakfast buffet, it was pretty good. But I wouldn’t trust any of the vendors the hotel suggests, which is unacceptable for the Riu’s standards."
