"The only issue is trying to bring luggage into the hotel. The front desk is up stairs, no elevator. However, this location is fabulous. Would certainly come again."

"Our family absolutely loved our stay at the Ermitage Hotel in Kandersteg! The location couldn’t be better, it’s just a short walk from the train station and the charming downtown area with shops and restaurants. Best of all, it’s right next to the cable car that takes you up to Oeschinen Lake, one of the most breathtaking places we’ve ever visited. We also had a blast riding the mountain toboggan, which was a huge hit with the whole family! The hotel staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant was delicious, making it easy to enjoy a great meal after a day of exploring the mountains. Breakfast is included every morning and it was delicious! Every member of the team made us feel right at home. The scenery is simply stunning, and the convenience of the location made our trip even more enjoyable. We made unforgettable memories here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend the Ermitage Hotel to anyone visiting Kandersteg!"

"Paying for cheaper hotel Villa Toscany you can still use facilities across the road sauna, swimming etc. which is great. Good location. I do struggle to find information on Expedia website that check in for Villa Toscany needs to be done in Royal plaza across the road if I knew it from begging would be more helpful."

The Freddie Mercury Hotel

"As a fan of Freddie, a stay at The Freddie Mercury when in Montreux is a must. It's campy, and fun and you can't not smile in the public areas. As a rather fussy hotel guest, I had no real issues. There isn't air conditioning, but there is some air circulation. The rooms are basic, but how much time do you plan on spending in there? The bed is super comfortable, the breakfast is reasonable for the price (on demand omelettes and lots of variety). It was clean enough, though there is some wear starting to show. The staff was very helpful. Most of all, the location is amazing and on the train station platform (you can hear the trains from your room if you're on that side, but it's a soft/gentle woosh every now and then). I'm so glad I stayed there. Thank you!"
