The Olli family is proud to announce the opening of The Hill House, their newest vacation rental in Grand Marais, Michigan. Be one of the first to enjoy this gem of a property situated on a large lot high on Ridge Road with incredible panoramic views of the harbor and Lake Superior.

Although the property has been in the family for over 50 years, extensive renovations and a top to bottom overhaul, including new plumbing, wiring, insulation and a master bedroom addition are complete and ready to be enjoyed.

The Hill House features three bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of six people. It’s a ranch style home with 1.5 bathrooms. There is a queen master bedroom with a TV & a full bath, a second bedroom with a full size bed and and a third bedroom with two twin beds. This property is a 5-minute walk from town with ample trailer parking and plenty of privacy. The home features Wi-fi, a 50-inch smart TV and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. A washer and dryer and large elevated deck on the lakeside round out everything you’ll need for your stay.

Easy access to snowmobile trails. No need to use a trailer for transport.

Like the Ollis’ other sought after Grand Marais rental (VRBO 1461916, The Big House), this home is family owned and managed by a partner residing in town year-round who will quickly respond to any issues or concerns.

Fire pit to be installed Spring 2024.

Please note that from Mid June through Labor Day, there is a week long minimum stay with check in on Sunday only @ 3pm and checking out the following Sunday by 10am.

Centrally located to waterfalls with a Superior view!

Stayed with 5 adults, perfect fit. Located just right to visit all the waterfalls on our itinerary. Dan checked on us during our stay, was very nice to chat with. Sherpa Shack downtown has the best ice cream!

We loved the stay at the cabin. It was in a perfect location. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Property manager was there when we got there and was very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone.

What a gem!

Great place for the price. Plenty of space, great property manager that checked on us shortly after we arrived and gave us some helpful local advice. Great view and a big outdoor space for our dogs to run around.

We had an amazing time at the Hill House. The location is secluded and private. The house comes with all the amenities and felt like home. We truly wish we could’ve stayed longer. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

A great place to stay for a snowmobile trip. House is newly remodled. Plenty of parking for large truck/trailer(s). Beautiful view and walking distance to town. Trails are accessible with a small bit of roadside riding to get to them. Host was very responsive.

Hill House

We had a great stay at the Hill House in Grand Marais! We spent most of our time outdoors exploring, but the house fit our needs perfectly when we were done for the day. The deck with the lake view was great for coffee in the morning or relaxing at night. The yard was also very large, which was nice for playing bean bags or fetch with the dog.

Great little rental! It was close enough to town to experience Grand Marais but also far enough away for peace and quiet. Property Manager was quick to reply when needed and super friendly. Newly decorated and well stocked kitchen.

Winter Wonderland

The hill house was a perfect winter getaway. We came to snowmobile and the conditions were perfect in every direction. The hill house was perfectly located and was very comfortable to stay in. The hill house is pet friendly so we were able to bring our dogs. I loved all the deer. They were everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely do it again...the house is perfect size for two couples.

Grand Marais getaway

Cute dog friendy cabin with great view of Lake Superior. Easy walking distance to downtown area. The UP 200 was scheduled to end in Grand Marais but was canceled due to lack if snow this year. They still had activities planned downtown which were fun to check out.

Wonderful home and property with a gorgeous view of the Bay and Lake Superior. Well maintained, clean and well stocked. Nice open kitchen/livingroom. Loved the deck for morning coffe and evening rest. Very close to all amenities and attractions. Quiet neighborhood on a hill. We were a party of 4 friends and this home was just the right size. Beautiful View

Very nice home, kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. Which is great because the week we went, every single restaurant closed for that week. Wish this would have been communicated to us. Other than that it was a great get away and this property won't disappoint. They are installing a fire pit this spring, that will be a great addition.
