Lovely room, very very friendly staff who were accommodating and welcoming!
The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and pots and pans. Several bird species flying around the property in the morning. I could walk to one of the hiking trails of the national park from this lodge. The room was great and only about a 15 minute drive to the Australia zoo.
Keith was very welcoming when we arrived and showed us around and to our room. You can see the years of devotion he has given to this place that have resulted in a truly unique and memorable place. Absolutely fantastic, wish we had stayed for longer.
Beautiful property, very peaceful yet wonderful place for kids to explore. Cute features like community and fairy gardens and recycling displays. Love the old repurposed train too.
The room itself was basic, but had everything we needed.
Perfect location for us for Australia Zoo. Would throughly recommend and visit again.
Stayed in the Church loft, it was amazing with most of the original features still there from over 100 years ago. The fire was a highlight and the bed was super comfy!
The property is situated in a great location where you can see the mountain directly. There is a little orchard on the property and a forest that you can explore with children. It is also located near Australia Zoo (about 10 mins drive) and plenty of eating options too. The owner, Keith, is delightful and provided us with great hospitality - not sure how he does it on his own but he does a great job!
Simple accommodations in a beautiful setting. Our room had access to a communal kitchen rather than kitchen/fridge facilities within the room, this was described on the website and suited us fine. Keith was absolutely lovely at check in and arranging breakfast. We stayed here prior to an Australia Zoo visit and would absolutely book to stay again in the future.
Great friendly owner and unique surroundings. Felt like you were in a rain forest The lodge offers breakfast for $15 AUD per person and several activities like the Australia Zoo Tickets can be purchased at the lodge. We will be back

Staff and location was good.
Outside area is well maintained (gardern was good, also night timing sensor lights are on and convinient to reach room)
But no facilities available inside the room i.e., NO tv/microwave/fridge/toaster etc (seems they are at a common location outside a place which is shared with others ) - * it is not mentioned in the booking timings.
Nature Lover's Paradise with Rich History &Comfort
This hotel is an incredible destination for nature enthusiasts. Nestled among lush tropical fruit trees, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property using their detailed plant map, which enriched our understanding of the surrounding flora.
The accommodation was stunning—an expansive, two-story wooden chalet with a charming German/Swiss pine design. It was impressively spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of four (two adults and two children). Our eldest, aged 8, delighted in the loft-style attic room upstairs. Do note that the stairs are a bit steep, so a phone torch can be handy at night.
One of the most memorable aspects was learning about the property's rich history and the inspiring vision of its creator, Keith. His dedication is evident in the restoration of an old train carriage and the remarkable relocation of a church, which involved a seven-hour journey by road.
Bird lovers will be especially enchanted by the symphony of birdsong that greets the morning, making each day start with a natural serenade. For those who enjoy hiking, the hotel’s proximity to excellent trails is a significant bonus. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene retreat with a blend of history, nature, and comfort!
Wow, what a beautiful place. Our 'room' was bigger than the downstairs of our house back in the UK.
Keith was wonderful. Told us the history of his home.
We were only sorry thst we'd only got one night there.
What a beautiful place to escape to. Rooms and grounds were immaculate. Keith our host was polite, knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Perfect for a romantic getaway for couples of all ages. I highly recommend the breakfast with the birds, Keith makes the perfect boiled eggs.
Fantastic place. Very original and eco friendly for an off track experience. Ingenious restoration of church building and railway carriages as accommodation.
