This hotel is very well located. It is within walking distance of many of Glasgow's best landmarks and it right next door to Charing Cross train station and a multi-storey carpark.
When this hotel was a Premier Inn, I stayed in it several times. It was in need of refurbishment then, but it was always clean and comfortable. However, since Britannia took the hotel over things have gone downhill. It is still in need of refurbishment, but it is no longer clean and comfortable. The room I had for this stay was not clean. It was dusty, there were haris on the wall on the bathroom, and there was a red stain (possibly blood) on one of the walls on the bedroom. It was also uncomfortable. The AC unit in the room was not working and neither my partner or I could figure out how to turn off the radiator (although that is probably our fault). Fortunately, the windows open wide enough to let in a good supply of fresh air. They only supplied one pillow each and they were very thin and not very comfortable. My partner did not get a good sleep.
The staff are friendly. Check in/out was very easy, although check in doesn't open until 4pm and one has to check out by 10am.
