Nestled at the crossroads of Dorset, Somerset, and Wiltshire. 15 minutes from Bruton.
This is a place to enhance and embrace creativity, helping you write, work on art, photography, and be in nature.
Designed for long and short stays with most luxuries of a house, and sustainability at the forefront.
Korkhouse is powered by ten solar panels, making it a fully off-grid cork cabin. We can't wait for you to experience it!
The space
korkhouse is meticulously designed for extended stays, not just as a transient hotel experience. It's your home away from home, complete with all the amenities you need for a comfortable and fulfilling stay.
Inside...
You'll find a fully equipped kitchenette with a cooking hob, a spacious endlessly hot shower, a waterless composting toilet, a TV for those cozy evenings, a bespoke design wooden table for both working and eating on, lots of wardrobe space, a wood burner for warmth, a luxury memory foam mattress and a comfortable sofa to relax on.
Outside...
A charming island oasis with wood stools and a dinner table, where BBQ dreams come true. A mini waterfall at the end of our large stream that you can listen to all day, no need for YouTube relaxation sounds, the sheep and cows, casually grazing in the fields next door. Keep your eyes peeled for the occasional stag, deer, and ducks (we've named the ducks Susan and Paul).
Guest access
We want our guests to explore our land, all 0.95 acres of it! There is no restriction when it comes to exploring the nature on our site, but we do request that you stay within the fenced boundary of the site and advise not to feed any sheep or cows in the neighbouring fields.
Please take care around the stream, as there is sinking mud.
Please also note that a viaduct is situated nearby, meaning trains pass by often throughout the day.
