We were looking for somewhere in "hidden Crete" and this property in Maza gave us a sense of rural remoteness but with access to the national road (and easy drives to Hania and Rethymnon) in 5 minutes. You do need to check into the actual hotel (which this is not, this is the villas), which is like 5-10 mins away by car, and I'll say this now that the hotel does have a restaurant. "Das Haus ist genau wie beschrieben. Der Empfang durch den Vermieter war sehr herzlich. Es war alles da was man benötigt. Der Vermieter hat sogar den Kühlschrank mit kaltem Wasser, Saft, Wurst, Käse, Butter und so weiter ausgestattet. Es gab Brot und Kaffee, so dass man nicht gleich am Ankunftstag einkaufem muss. Sehr aufmerksam. Der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt und auf Nachfragen sofort reagiert. "
