During our short stay, we had to move rooms not once, but twice — staying in three different rooms total due to ongoing issues with the air conditioning.
This was incredibly inconvenient and stressful, especially while traveling with a child who has autism and thrives on routine and stability. Despite seeing a technician and trying to resolve the problem, we were left uncomfortable and frustrated for the majority of our stay with the rooms getting up to 80° and the AC units blowing hot air.
We booked through a third party, so we were not offered any form of compensation, other than free breakfast, which we feel is unacceptable given the circumstances.
Jose A and Stephanie at the front desk seemed to be the only ones to be compassionate; one manager (on the night of the 9th) said “I see you live in Escondido” and suggested maybe we just go home, at 10pm with 2 children one with special needs, If that’s what we needed to do, after saying she wasn’t sure what the correct solution was. Unfortunately we will not be back and cannot recommend to anyone to go to this location.
