  • Welcome to Longwood Hideaway, a serene, designer - curated retreat tucked into the rolling hills of Galena Territory. This warm, elegant home is thoughtfully styled for comfort, beauty, and effortless hospitality - the perfect place to rest, restore, and reconnect.

    Wake up to golden morning light drifting across the trees. Enjoy slow coffee on the deck. Hike the wooded trails, golf at the General, enjoy the pools, gym, at the owner's club, rent a boat at the marina for an evening of fishing. Reserve a pickle ball and tennis court for an afternoon or horseback ride at the Shanandoah Riding Center. After a full day of activities, come back to the Longwood Hideaway and enjoy a glass of wine in the screened in porch or hot tub. Once inside for the evening, enjoy the many games, puzzles, or a game of pool and card games.

    Inside, you'll find beautifully appointed 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. Two bedrooms have attached baths, and two bedrooms have baths that are adjacent. You'll find three comfortable gathering spaces, and thoughtful touches that make your stay feel cared for. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy bedrooms and spa-inspired baths, everything is designed to feel calm clean, and gracious.

    Whether you are exploring Galena, enjoying the Territory amenities, or simply savoring quiet moments inside this warm elegant space, Longwood Hideaway is a place to breathe, unwind, and feel beautifully at home.

Great stay! We had 8 people. Ample towels, kitchen essentials, games, etc. Very clean. House is so big and 3 levels, each floor had its own living areas too. Very happy!

Our group of 8 very much enjoyed our stay. The house and property are beautiful, clean, and very well stocked with every kitchen/bath items you may need. Lots of pantry items such a coffee, tea and spices as well. We didn't use the hot tub, but the fire pit was very enjoyable during the evenings. The stones are more comfortable to sit on than they appear. The owner is absolutely fabulous! Very responsive and got back to me within minutes on any questions I had. Would without a doubt recommend this property to anyone visit the Galena area.

Wonderful Stay

The home is beautiful and just as described by the owners. Plenty of space for a large family and a very well stocked kitchen including coffee station and plenty of dishes, bowls and anything you would need. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed our stay!

The six of us had a great time. The house had everything we needed and more!! The home had ample space for group activities and areas for individual private time! Location was excellent as we had easy access to area attractions and surrounding towns. We definitely would book this home again!

Longwood Hideaway was perfect

We thoroughly enjoyed Longwood Hideaway for our annual girls trip. The screened in porch saw lots of morning coffee chats and games. The space allowed us plenty of room to stretch out and not be in each others way.

Loved Longwood Hideaway

The property was exceptionally appointed. All of the common rooms were comfortable with plenty of seating. Loved the covered porch. It became our morning gathering place. The kitchen was perfect. The host communicated with me in a timely manner.

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the Longwood Hideaway! It is a great house with lots of space. It is very well stocked. My only complaint is the upstairs mattress should be replaced. Other than that, we loved it and would recommend this home to anyone.

Great rental house!

After coming to the territory for 35 years, this is the nicest house we’ve stayed in! The house was so clean! The furniture was in great shape and comfortable. The kitchen was really very well stocked. The house was beautifully decorated. The extra touches (lavender sachets in closets, bathroom supplies, fans for every room, etc) were greatly appreciated!

Great house and location in Galena!

We stayed with a group of 8 adults, teens, and kids. We loved that there was plenty of space for everyone! The house is very well equipped, and we made great use of the firepit and hot tub. We also utilized the clubhouse and community pool (extra day passes are just $5/day). Communication with the owners was easy, and check in/out was a breeze. We hope to be back!

Beautiful property

Beautiful house that was very open and with 10 people it wasn't crowded at all. Pool table, hot tub, fireplace and board games were just a few perks. We humg downstairs and watched tv and played cards, cooked meals in the spacious kitchen and watxjed the wildlife. I would loce to retuen in the summer time.
