Longwood Hideaway - A Warm, Elegant Retreat for Rest & Restoration

Welcome to Longwood Hideaway, a serene, designer - curated retreat tucked into the rolling hills of Galena Territory. This warm, elegant home is thoughtfully styled for comfort, beauty, and effortless hospitality - the perfect place to rest, restore, and reconnect.

Wake up to golden morning light drifting across the trees. Enjoy slow coffee on the deck. Hike the wooded trails, golf at the General, enjoy the pools, gym, at the owner's club, rent a boat at the marina for an evening of fishing. Reserve a pickle ball and tennis court for an afternoon or horseback ride at the Shanandoah Riding Center. After a full day of activities, come back to the Longwood Hideaway and enjoy a glass of wine in the screened in porch or hot tub. Once inside for the evening, enjoy the many games, puzzles, or a game of pool and card games.

Inside, you'll find beautifully appointed 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. Two bedrooms have attached baths, and two bedrooms have baths that are adjacent. You'll find three comfortable gathering spaces, and thoughtful touches that make your stay feel cared for. From the well-equipped kitchen to the cozy bedrooms and spa-inspired baths, everything is designed to feel calm clean, and gracious.

Wonderful Stay

The home is beautiful and just as described by the owners. Plenty of space for a large family and a very well stocked kitchen including coffee station and plenty of dishes, bowls and anything you would need. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed Longwood Hideaway for our annual girls trip. The screened in porch saw lots of morning coffee chats and games. The space allowed us plenty of room to stretch out and not be in each others way.

Great house and location in Galena!

We stayed with a group of 8 adults, teens, and kids. We loved that there was plenty of space for everyone! The house is very well equipped, and we made great use of the firepit and hot tub. We also utilized the clubhouse and community pool (extra day passes are just $5/day). Communication with the owners was easy, and check in/out was a breeze. We hope to be back!

Great Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the Longwood Hideaway! It is a great house with lots of space. It is very well stocked. My only complaint is the upstairs mattress should be replaced. Other than that, we loved it and would recommend this home to anyone.

Great rental house!

After coming to the territory for 35 years, this is the nicest house we’ve stayed in! The house was so clean! The furniture was in great shape and comfortable. The kitchen was really very well stocked. The house was beautifully decorated. The extra touches (lavender sachets in closets, bathroom supplies, fans for every room, etc) were greatly appreciated!

Beautiful property

Beautiful house that was very open and with 10 people it wasn't crowded at all. Pool table, hot tub, fireplace and board games were just a few perks. We humg downstairs and watched tv and played cards, cooked meals in the spacious kitchen and watxjed the wildlife. I would loce to retuen in the summer time.

Annual Family Vacation

What a great family vacation! The home was perfect for our multi generational family getaway! Ages 3 months to 65 years old. One family used the upstairs, one the main level and the other downstairs. We all enjoyed hanging out in the main level dining and living area. Many great meals were cooked and enjoyed together. And lots of fun on the deck and in the yard. I would highly recommend this house- very clean, had everything we needed, communication with the owner was great, and space was perfect for our family. We would definitely come back.

New tasteful decor was immediately evident. Very friendly and cheerful hot tub lady assured us that all was good. Fire wood was kept dry from the elements. Bedding very comfortable. Longwood is a comfortable property in a good location. It was comforting knowing Jody was just a phone call away.

Totally Awesome!

What you see online - pictures AND description - is accurate, but does not do it justice. Beautiful home and 15 minutes from Galena, but we only went there to buy food as there was no reason to leave the home except for the Clubhouse and hiking. The kids (4) loved the pool at the Clubhouse and the elders (6) loved the hot tub at the house. Fully stocked kitchen and gas grill so you can make / cook whatever you want. Check-in was extremely simple and Jody was responsive and accommodating. It was my 63rd birthday and this location made it memorable!
