Fiddler Lake Cabin offers a peaceful rural setting near Galax, surrounded by wooded hills, open countryside, and scenic farm trails. Downtown Galax is approximately 20–25 minutes away, offering local restaurants, shops, and access to the New River Trail. Claytor Lake State Park and Radford University are roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes away, while Virginia Tech and downtown Blacksburg are approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes away. Driving times may vary with traffic and mountain road conditions
Guests have private access to the entire cabin, including the bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, living area, covered porch, outdoor seating, fire pit, and lakeside gazebo. Guests may also enjoy the farm’s walking and hiking trails after requesting access information from the host. Swimming is not permitted. Fishing is only available when arranged as an additional paid activity. There are no life jackets or water toys provided.
Fiddler Lake Cabin is a cozy, single-level retreat with an open and comfortable layout. The main sleeping area features one queen bed and is conveniently connected to the living and kitchen spaces. The full bathroom is located on the same floor, just off the main interior area. The kitchen includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator, Keurig with pods, cookware, and a breakfast bar for dining. Guests can also enjoy the sitting area, covered porch, outdoor seating, fire pit, lakeside gazebo, and peaceful lake and countryside views
The cabin is reached by car through scenic rural and mountain roads. It is approximately 35–45 minutes from Interstate 77 near Hillsville, with access continuing along US-58 and local roads. A personal vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation and rideshare service may be limited in this rural area. Guests may park for free on the property near the cabin in the designated driveway and parking area. Travel times may vary depending on weather and road conditions.
Pets are welcome. Guests should bring blankets to cover the couches and help minimize pet hair. Swimming in the lake is not permitted. Children may only enter the lake with prior host approval. Fishing and fishing equipment may be available for an additional fee and must be arranged with the host. Guests may also enjoy walking and hiking on the farm trails, but access information should be requested in advance. Firewood is provided for the outdoor fire pit.
Lost Item Return Policy: If you leave an item behind and would like us to ship it back to you, a return fee will apply to cover the handling and shipping process. Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe you have left an item at the property.
