"There were the pictures and information we saw when we booked and there was the moment we faced reality with a property and a room that simply put was priced way outside what anyone should pay for what they get. The condition of the room, the carpet, the beds, the sheets, the toilet, and towels are those of a cheap motel.. The strong chlorine/bleach smell of the sheets caused an all day headache the next few days. One may think, well at least they were cleaned but part of cleaning and washing is the proper rinse. There were cigarette burns on the bed covers yet is a non-smoking room, right? The toilet cover was broken and it was a very old water wasting toilet. The shower with no drain cover is just disgusting. We should have been paid for staying there not the other way around. I could go on with listing all the things that are obviously needing maintenance but is too long, All looks like an old hotel that was bought with no maintenance no renovation and just put in a new name. The Quality inn and choice hotels brand has dropped from my list of options to stay anywhere. "

"The hotel in general is very clean and the rooms are very clean. The beds are par. The major issue we had was the lack of hospitality the staff has. I guess it to much trouble saying good morning or hello. We stayed there for three days and the attitude not change. No one wears name tags but doesn’t matter because the majority lacked these skills. The lady in charge of the morning breakfast was the same and does not wear a hair net for cleanliness. Over all I will really need to think it over whether or not to stay there again. "

"My stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites in Gainesville, Texas is always Awesome! The manager is so wonderful, and she greets me by name every time we stay at this location. The morning host during breakfast is also wonderful and very nice. She greets us every time during our stay. Wonderful staff!"

"there is major road construction going on in Gainsville,TX. It has the motel completely blocked for customers to figure out how toget inthe driveway. I drove in circles for 2 hours trying to just get to the place. I finally do get there and the room i was given the tub was awful and the tv wouldnt work. I got a different room. the floor was filthy and the tub was ok but the TV did not work in this room either. I had made it clear that i needed an iron to press my clothes for the funeral i was to attend the next day. the 2nd room had no iron so i went and got the one from the first room that I had been told was there best room. When i booked the room Ithought i had booked a king with a sitting room. There was no headsup about the construction zone either . It was so stressful . when imade it back home inoticed that my car was sitting lower on the back passenger side. I didnt see the hole in the driveway to the motel when I finally found it and broke something. the saddest part is that I chose this particular motel because the person that I stayed there with is whos funeral I was attending the next day.Im sure that if the road work finishes that they will beback to the clean rooms weenjoyed then. I bought this insurance but sofar unless they planon fixing my car I would never recommend wasting money . Hotels.com shouldhave known about the construction"
