"The owner/operator lives on site (next door), and that truly makes a difference. This is a roadside inn, built in the middle of a pasture...which means that pasture aromas are present at night. Even so, you cannot tell when in your room and the cleanliness of the property, laundry service, store on site, pool and free wifi make this a perfect location. Most of us were playing in Cooperstown, but this would be great for any travelers in the area."

"Visiting Oneonta to attend baseball games at Cooperstown All Star Village. It is a short 10 minute drive away. A clean and comfortable hotel near a small shopping mall. Staff was overly welcoming and attentive to our questions and to provide assistance. This general manager has surely established a professional atmosphere as exhibited by the employees we met and our observation of the overall appearance of the hotel. A quiet atmosphere for families and a pool for the young at heart. Parking spaces in abundance. There are other hotels in the near by area but you cannot go wrong with this Quality Inn."

The Hidden Inn

"There is no staff at the facility and the automated check in didn't work well. Someone was supposed to have emailed codes several days in advance and did not, and it was not clear that it was required, as opposed to an option. When I started trying to contact the Inn and hotels.com at arrival I couldn't reach anyone. Left a message with the Inn and several hours later the owner responded. Meantime, around 3:30 (for a 3:00 check in) someone emailed me the entry code, but it went to my junk email, where I eventually found it and was able to enter. The building is charming looking on the outside, the room was nice enough but there was no one else there. Clearly they do business at other times of the week, but sign on front door said they were closed on Sunday and Mondays. Wish Hotels.com has better communicated about the eccentricities of the place."
