Just 2 km from the Château de Chenonceau, this very comfortable gite, housed in a historic 15th century house, will accommodate couples and families. You will be here in the countryside of Tours, at the very epicenter of the region of the Châteaux of the Loire, with the high point being the nearby Châteaux de Chenonceau, Amboise, Chambord and Cheverny. Besides the Castles, the region is particularly conducive to the discovery of the famous vineyards of the Loire (Vouvray, Montlouis) and the ZooParc de Beauval.

After your visit you can enjoy your private garden and terrace as well as the 12 * 4 heated and covered swimming pool of the property (swimming pool open from May 01 to September 30, to be shared with another gîte and the owners).

At your disposal also, swings, hut and games for children as well as a ping-pong table.

Quiet and beautiful location close to many sites

We had a wonderful time at this location, seeing hot air balloons each evening overhead, eating meals outside, swimming in the pool, and enjoying the wine from the organic vineyard next door. The building is well maintained, historic, and quiet. The location is excellent for accessing chateaus, biking trails, markets, and restaurants. The hosts are very helpful with information about the area. Highly recommend!

Peaceful Oasis near Amboise

We loved staying in this older and totally renovated home near Amboise and Chateau Chenonceau. It is a lovely home that is part of a renovated compound surrounded by grape vinyeards near the adorable town of Franceuil. The house is perfect with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a lovely well-appointed and renoovated kitchen and living room complete with a small but upscale gas wall fireplace for colder nights. The home has everything you need for a fantastic get-away including a lovely swimming pool outside the door in the garden. There is a patio and mowed grounds for playing and exploring. The owners Aude and Eric are wonderful hosts and made our stay just perfect. Thank you we will be back!

We spent a lovely 5 nights at the Gite de Cambalu which was well equipped and very well situated for visiting the towns and chateaux (especially Chenonceau) of the Loire valley. The setting in the countryside was very peaceful and it really nice to eat fresh eggs in the morning from the farm courtesy of our host. You could eat out within a short drive if you don’t want to eat at the gite. Aude was excellent with her communication relating to our visit and also had some very good recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting. Thank you!

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad! Hele mooie locatie, van alle gemakken voorzien. Het zwembad is heerlijk! De omgeving van de gite is rustig, landelijk. Er is in de omgeving veel te doen; leuke stadjes, veel kastelen, de dierentuin en het aquarium. Wij beleefden een topvakantie.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet uns hat sehr viel Charme. Der große Außenbereich bietet neben dem Pool genug Platz für Familien. Es ist sehr ruhig und ländlich - umgeben von Weinfeldern - gelegen. Als Startpunkt für Radtouren entlang des Cher ideal. Die Vermieter sind ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und geben unsere uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Très bon séjour

Gîte très accueillant, bien situé pour visiter les châteaux, se rendre au Zoo de Beauval et profiter des curiosités environnantes. Très grande propriété, au calme, en pleine nature. La piscine était très agréable et nos petits-enfants en ont bien profité et l’ont apprécié. Petite suggestion : peut-être ajouter sur le règlement de la piscine qu’elle n’est accessible qu’aux locataires des gîtes et non aux visiteurs occasionnels (famille). Sinon, encore une fois, nos vacances étaient excellentes !

Séjour très agréable !

Une belle location, mais le temps d’avril n’était pas assez beau pour profiter pleinement du jardin et de la piscine. Nous avons pu aller sur le GR au départ de la maison et marcher jusqu’au Cher et à Chenonceau.

Wunderschöne Anlage, sehr ruhig gelegen und trotzdem sind viele Ausflugsziele schnell zu erreichen. Sehr herzliche Gastgeber, alles sehr gepflegt, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Umfangreiche Küchenaussstattung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Excellent séjour, parfaitement adapté pour des enfants en bas âge

Gîte parfaitement adapté, disposant d'un très grand jardin et de nombreux jeux. La piscine est parfaitement sécurisée et dispose d'une alarme ainsi que d'un abri garantissant l'absence de chutes. A 15 minutes en voiture d'Amboise et 2 minutes de Chenonceaux, c'est un emplacement idéal pour des vacances alliant repos et culture. Nous recommandons vivement.

Une pause très agréable pour petits et grands

Très chouette endroit. Le gîte et les propriétaires sont accueillants. J ai rarement vu une cuisine aussi bien équipée. Les adresses de restos sont précieuses, la balade vers Chenonceaux à pied magnifique et, cerise sur le gâteau la piscine est très agréable. Nous reviendrons, merci à nos hôtes.

Ein Paradies an der Cher

Die Wohnung ist in einem kleineren Anbau des Haupthauses untergebracht. Auf dem ganzen Anwesen herrscht bezaubernde Ruhe! Außer Bussarden hört man nichts! Die Einrichtung ist komplett, das Haus ist sehr, sehr sauber. Alles ist liebevoll, mit Blick für Details renoviert. Schon der Eingangsbereich sowie der Hof sind mittelalterlich von viel Atmosphäre geprägt. Für die Kinder sind eine Tischtennisplatte und der bei schlechtem Wetter überdachte und beheizte Pool fantastisch. Auch können sie auf dem großen Areal mit viel Platz unbeschwert spielen. Auch Fahrräder stehen zur Verfügung. Die Vermieter sind gleichzeitig sehr zurückhaltend und außerordentlich zuvorkommend. Wir haben eine fantastische Woche in diesem Paradies in Nachbarschaft zum Schloss Chenonceaux verbracht. Merci beaucoup Aude et Eric pour cette semaine extraordinaire chez vous! Nous reviendrons avec un tres grand plaisir!

Calme et sérénité en famille pour un superbe week-end !

Logement très fonctionnel et pensé dans les moindres détails pour les familles. Les enfants ont particulièrement apprécié l'immense jardin et la piscine mais également le cadre alentour propice aux balades en forêt et au bord du Cher. Aude est très avenante et la communication cordiale et efficace. Encore merci !

Topverblijf !

Wij hebben recentelijk 1 week verbleven in Cambalu. Het is een topverblijf. Mooier dan de advertentie ! In de woning zelf ontbreekt het aan niets. Prachtige en heek rustige omgeving. Wij hebben bovendien genoten van de aanwezigheid van de lieve huiskat en hopen dat zij liefdevol verzorgd blijft worden. Kortom: een aanrader !
