Check in was easy until the resort tried to have us commit to a meeting to sell us a time-share after we said no because we had just gotten out of a time-share we were still pressured to attend the meeting. After getting through this our stay was good until we lost power for a few hours. We understand this is unforeseeable however there was no communication to us as to an ETA when it would be restored and we were on the 8th floor and phones were out. Once power was back on it took 1 of the 2 elevators about 48 hours to work When I told the check-in desk that it wasn't working I was told "I'm pretty sure I was in that elevator this morning." Ok, well take your guests word and maybe at least check into it working as at that time it was NOT working! The bartender, Pauline, that was unfortunately working 3 days of our stay needs a course in smiling and not being rude to the customers who are tipping her! The rooms weren't being cleaned due to Covid, which is understandable, but then give guests plenty of paper towel, toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo and other items you stock the room with while cleaning rather than making us ask for these items when we are out. Also I'm sure that due to Covid the amount of lounge chairs by pool side have been scaled back however the amount of guests allowed at the pool has not and the chairs should account for this rather than having guests hover waiting for someone to leave to have a chair. The furniture in the unit itself was dated and could probably be replaced along with the carpet from the 80's.
Overall we had a good time because of who we were with and not anything the resort did for us. I probably wouldn't recommend this resort to anyone.
