Cozy Cottage across the street from Carl Sandburg National Park

  • Enjoy the convenience of being within easy walking distance to everything Historic Flat Rock Village has to offer! Stroll to The Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg National Park, local restaurants, and charming shops—all just steps from your front door. This cozy cottage offers the perfect blend of comfort and accessibility for a relaxing, car-free getaway.

    You will delight in this light filled airy cottage with vaulted ceilings in every room!

    This historic cottage has been completely renovated. We tried to maintain the essence of the original cottage, and your comfort was at the heart of all our design decisions.

    There are 3 bedrooms, two with king beds, and one with a queen. The primary bedroom in the back of the cottage has an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower. The two front bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower. There is also a half bath off the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully stocked with a large island, built in bar and breakfast nook.

    There are outdoor spaces in the front of the house and a deck out back to enjoy your stay. There is a grill and table and chairs on the deck. This is a small house that lives big!

Beautiful cottage. Well appointed. The host was quick to answer questions. Clean and well cared for. I was a bit concerned because of the closeness with the Playhouse but it did not effect our stay at all. I would have liked to have a toaster to use and handbars in the shower and tub for my 87 year old Mom. When we stay in Flat Rock again we will happily stay here.

Great house in a great location. We loved our weekend in Flat Rock. The home itself is well appointed with everything you need. It was spotless and very charmingly decorated.
