Beautiful quiet riad near Bab Rcif

I stayed at Chaq Chaq for 3 nights recently and was a splendid experience. Once you walk inside, it just feels like you have been transported from the hectic medina into a completely different environment. But as with any experience, as beautiful as the premises are, service is also very important. I have to really give my props to Abdul and Mustafa, who were always there to answer questions and be the best hosts possible, so thank you both. We had a room with double beds and everything was functional. There is air con but no television. Nice breakfast each morning with eggs, bread and fruit. Awesome roof top access with tiny dipping pool and great panoramic views of the medina and hilltops. I do have to admit that finding the riad is hard. Even after 3 days, I still did not feel comfortable finding it. I studied it via google map before I landed and I thought I would be able to figure it out, but whatever plan I thought I had, it was completely thrown out the window once I walked past the gates from Bab Rcif. Google maps is not great once you get into the small alleys. Ignore kids and even some adults saying the road is closed, as it's just a way to get them to lead you in a loop and get some money off you. Trust me, I fell for this scam even though I read it beforehand too. Best advice is to see if you can arrange for a meetup outside Bab Rcif with someone from the riad.

Would come again and again.

This Riad is very beautiful- and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff makes every effort to accommodate all needs and is quite trustworthy. Breakfast on the roof (Terrace) is truly memorable. The Riad itself is deep within the Medina and the staff available to guide you in and out. Within a day or two you will be confident enough to do this yourself. They also have excellent access to some lovely restaurants and will make sure you do too!

Chaq chaq is a lovely place. The overall interior of the building is very nice and comfortable - all the better since its newly renovated. I noticed they kept the floor tiles on the ground level. Service was great. Abdul the manager is spectacular! He was very attentive and helpful. Certainly made our stay albeit short a very memorable one The double room on the ground level is an interesting one (check out the door). Its a good size with double height ceiling. Bed was very comfortable and one of the only riads we stayed during our trip that has a rain shower! The only thing we felt absent was an aircon (totally personal preference). Breakfast was one of the best we had. The view on the Rooftop is amazing too A tip prior to arrival will be to call Abdul to meet you at a convenient location because getting to the riad is a maze. I wouldnt have found it if Abdul was not with us.

An Oasis in the Fes Medina!

What a wonderful Riad this is!. It is truly an oasis in the middle of the Medina!. The moment you step into this place you are amazed by the beauty of the architecture!. The rooms in this Riad have been tastefully renovated and decorated!, they have the look and feeling of a luxurious hotel! The beds are super comfortable, linens are super clean and of a great quality!. One of our favorite areas was definitely the rooftop!. We brought wine and olives and enjoyed the beautiful sunset and the sounds of the Medina!. But the BEST part of our stay was the Manager: Abdou!!… what a kind and wonderful person he is!. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable!. Since we did not know our way through the Medina, he took us to a restaurant and later came to pick us up to take us back to the Riad. He was always prompt to help!. We for sure made a new friend in the Fes Medina!. Breakfast was delicious also!!. I recommend this place 100% !!

peut mieux faire.

Le riad est sympa mais n'a pas été occupé pour une longue période et la chambre n'a pas été dépoussiérée avant l'entrée. Hormis ce détail. c'est un très beau Riad avec un potentiel qui doit être amélioré pour correspondre au niveau affiché. Il faudrait rajouter des peignoirs, une bouilloire avec tisane et café, des produits de toilette de qualité, etc....brefs des petits détails qui font la différence

Ótimo, porém confuso

O hotel é uma graça, muito bem situado no turbilhão da medina de Fez. Quarto muito espaçoso, bom chuveiro. A única ressalva é quanto a inexperiência dos jovens administradores. Houve uma confusão com o nosso transfer de chegada, pois não fomos encontradas por mais de meia hora, por quem nos levaria da porta da medina ao hotel. Solicitamos a indicação de um guia para conhecer a medina por meio período (4 horas) e o rapaz não sabia quase nada, dizendo, depois de 1 hora e meia que já tinha mostrado tudo. Um desastre! Ou seja, um ótimo espaço com administração muito confusa, a melhorar nesse aspecto.

We booked a room at Chaq Chaq at the last minute as an other Riad we had booked was not to our liking. I am glad we booked here. Chaq Chaq is beautiful, clean, comfortable and a great location in the heart of the Médina. The view from the roof, where we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and evening beer, was wonderful. Our room had everything we needed and was very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Abdul, are friendly and helpful. There are many services offered, but we did not have enough time to enjoy them. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a boutique riad in the heart of the medina near palace racif. The staff made me feel at home and always comfortable and taken care of. They guided me to bank, ride exchange, pickup and airport. Breakfast every morning in the terrace balcony was a true blessing. I will remember my stay for a lifetime. Thank you
