Escape to the mountains and discover the charm of The Schoolhouse Cabin, one of 12 thoughtfully spaced cabins at Lonesome Pines Cabins. Nestled just off the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia, this cozy hideaway is the perfect spot for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature.

Step inside and unwind in a warm, open space designed with comfort in mind. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, sink, and mini-fridge, making it easy to prepare everything from simple snacks to home-cooked meals. A small dining table offers a cozy place for two to enjoy a quiet meal together.

The main living area invites you to relax in two cushioned chairs with a shared side table and ottoman, perfect for reading or sipping a warm drink. Across the room, a fireplace and wall-mounted TV provide cozy entertainment, while a private jacuzzi tub nearby lets you soak away stress in total comfort. The TV in this cabin is a smart TV with streaming capabilities only! Guests staying with us will need to provide their own login credentials for the streaming platforms. Don't forget to sign out before you leave!

When it's time to rest, a queen-sized bed tucked into the corner offers a peaceful night's sleep for two.

The private bathroom includes a vanity sink, mirror, standing shower, and toilet, offering everything you need for a convenient and comfortable stay.

Outside, the partially wraparound porch is the perfect place to start or end your day. Enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine in one of the two rocking chairs while taking in the fresh mountain air and serene surroundings.

Please note: All cabins are equipped with Wi-Fi. This is a non-smoking unit. Minimum booking age is 18.

Nestled on 21 acres of wooded, rolling hills, Lonesome Pine Cabins offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and I-77, it's the perfect home base for exploring scenic drives, hiking trails, local music venues, and charming wineries and antique shops in nearby towns like Galax, Floyd, and Independence.

Our mountain properties are nestled in the woods, which means you're truly immersed in nature, it's part of the charm! That said, while we take every measure to keep our properties clean and comfortable, you may occasionally see a bug or critter during your stay along with other wild life including bears and deer. This is completely normal for a forested environment and part of the rustic experience. We recommend keeping doors closed and food sealed to help minimize visits from curious insects. If you're especially sensitive to nature's little visitors, feel free to pack some bug spray for added peace of mind!

Please add directions on how to get hot water for the shower. When I turned the knob to hot, it came out to ice cold. Had to track down property management to find out how to get hot water. Turns out you had to turn it close to cold to get hot water. We would have appreciated a note posted. The bed was not comfortable. Other than that everything else was fine.
