The space
Nestled in a peaceful location. If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 15-45 minutes of the cabin. It is a great home to call your "Base Camp". Great place equally for couples and families to enjoy and relax.

The cabin offers a cozy Morso wood-stove, radiant floor heating throughout the main level , private hot tub and a private pond .5mi away to fly fish for elusive rainbow trout during the summer.

LIVING: Bedroom 1: Bunk Bed twin on top and full at the bottom | Bedroom 2: King Bed and half bathroom | Bedroom 3: King Bed and private full bathroom with shower. Additional Sleeping: Pack ‘n Play and Sofa Bed. Comfortably sleeps 7 but with the sofa bed will sleep up to 8.

INDOOR LIVING: 2 Smart TVs ( use your own credentials) board games, dining table, fireplace wooden stove, comfortable seating.

OUTDOOR LIVING: Gas grill, propane fire pit, on-site hiking, forest view

KITCHEN: Dishwasher, electric stovetop, oven, refrigerator, microwave, cooking basics, dishware & flatware, kids plates & cups, some spices, coffee maker, French press, blender, toaster, Crockpot, Air Fryer some trash bags & paper towels offered.


WELL WATER: The home is on a well water system. We have installed a high end water filtration system in October 2023. This addresses the higher mineral content which used to stain with a rusty color the toilets and tub. The water from the well is well within the drinking water guidelines even without the filtration system. We have the water tested annually.

GENERAL: Free WiFi, central heating, in-unit laundry, linens & towels, complimentary toiletries, laundry detergent, hair dryer, hangers, keyless entry.

FAQ: 4WD recommended in winter.

PARKING: Driveway (2 vehicles), ATV parking allowed on-site

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home to the exception of 2 owner closets located in the bedroom on the 2nd floor.

All linens, towels, kitchen and cooking utensils, glasses, plates, pots, pans, etc. are provided. Also you are welcome to use the washer and dryer.

Wi-Fi is available. Cell service is good but can be intermittent and /or not reliable based on your carrier. Remote wifi service is the only available service in the area so streaming usually is good but gaming might not be fast enough. Although we offer a desk, please be mindful that working form home might be risky. We cannot be held responsible for the lack of internet service in this area, as you might not have a steady constant internet connection.

OTHERS:

- Guest must be 25 years and older to book.

- Dogs only. Unfortunately no cats / others. Due to the host's family being allergic to animal hair and dander, the listing is strictly only for dogs. There are no exceptions to this rule.

- Please review CO new traction laws at the CODOT website.

- Fire ban currently in effect, no outside fires permitted.

Fairplay is a rural mountain town. Some of the restaurants and local businesses are not open daily and/or close early. Please check the days/hours of the individual locations.

Please do not leave trash /recycling outside or food/wrappers/containers in your car.

The home does have exterior ONLY security cameras. The devices are located at the front entrance facing the driveway, the carport area, and the back patio area. The pack patio camera does have some visibility of the grill and hot tub area. This video footage is not shared and is recorded for security as well as liability reasons and does not infringe on privacy in these public areas of the property. Please do not attempt to disable or obscure the cameras. You may contact us with any concerns and questions.

In the summer, bring your fishing gear to enjoy the community fishing pond. On-site National Park trails are perfect for days of hiking or mountain biking or snowshoeing in the winter. Return to this retreat to unwind with and then enjoy a late-night stargazing outside or at the hot tub.
