Irmgard’s studio was very well equipped and she made the check in process very easy. It’s in a great location close to the water, ferry and retail area of town. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the property, as well as the noise. Upon check in, I discovered the bathroom sink was leaking and the floor was soaked. The toilet paper was mouldy, which indicated it had been wet for some time. Because of the situation in the bathroom (which Irmgard resolved quickly), I used the mirror in the main living area to get changed, however it was incredibly dusty which made it hard to see. The bathroom also had hair clippings on the toilet seat and vanity, which looked like someone had given themselves a haircut. It also smelled like sewage at times. On the first night, I was woken at 4am to a woman yelling and a dog barking upstairs. This went on for an hour, until the woman was picked up by a car right outside the window at 5am. Unsure if this was Irmgard or someone else, but it was incredibly disruptive to my sleep. Thankfully the rest of the stay was uneventful and the bed was comfortable enough that I got decent rest the following night. Overall I would not stay again.
