「Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. 」

「We stayed 4 nights in "the annex" of The Nags Head while attending the Goodwood Revival in Sept. Although the price was crazy expensive at £450 per night for a basic hotel room and breakfast, at the time we booked we couldn't find anything cheaper that was as close to the train and bus station. (It's an easy walk through the historic center, past inviting shops and restaurants.) The "annex" rooms are around the corner from the main in and pub, and the separation was no problem. 「If you are running a music festival then that should have been clear when booking a room. The bar was so busy and noisy it was a struggle to even get in to the room certainly no option to sit in the bar with a drink. The restaurant offered some sanctuary however people then spilled into that area looking for a way out into the garden. All you could hear in the room is the bass from the music and although it finished after 10pm both the bar and the garden stayed busy. £199 for a room and...
