Right across from a National Rail station, and the Edinburgh Tram and busses as well, which makes a huge difference for anyone visiting Edinburgh car-free. The 24 hour lobby lounge is a great place to decompress after a busy day out. The breakfast buffet at the pub next door has a full Scottish breakfast (which is like a Full English breakfast, but don’t say that out loud). The hotel was under some minor renovations when I was there, but the room was spacious, with plenty of power plugs (not always a thing in UK hotels) and remarkably quiet at night. The neighbourhood felt safe, clean-enough (for a busy old city full of tourists) and full of options for dining and shopping for daily essentials.

Love reception staff and free coffee. There are only 2 lifts for a 200+ hotel so waiting was ridiculous and then one of 2 broke down on my last day. Room is small, AC is ridiculously hot and even overridden I heated whilst sleeping. Great location to station and Dean Village.

Great location. Right next to train, bus lines, tram. I enjoyed hanging out in the lobby. Air condition in the room was much appreciated after hot days. Bed was comfortable. Not as spacious around the bed but there is a good amount of space compared to another hotel I stayed a few streets away. Bathroom is somewhat small in some areas like around the toilet and when getting in the shower when it’s running. Regardless I would stay again.

Great location and super-helpful, friendly staff with nice seating area in reception. Room was pretty small and shower not in the greatest condition with walls fairly thin. However, bed was comfortable and A/C effective. The carpets were really badly stained throughout the public areas giving it a real seedy feel despite being a relatively newly-refurbished hotel. No real issues but wasn’t good value for the price paid and probably wouldn’t stay again.

The hotel is perfectly located in front of the Haymarket Train station, with access to train, tram, buses, supermarkets, restaurants. Our room was very small, with a comfortable bed and well soundproofed.
