We booked a double room as there was just 2 of us, the room was decorated in a modern manner. The washroom was just normal sized, the bathtub was right next to the toilet seat, with the sink basin in hands reach of the toilet. The room overall had a nice ambience, I found the tv to be quite small, but it was a smart tv so was able to login into my Netflix. I would’ve liked if there was some sort of long mirror, there was a small one on the wall and in the bathroom; and I usually used the large mirror at the main reception to check my outfit and everything; but this wasn’t really a big deal. I did find the hotel bar to be quite empty, didn’t see people sitting around, like I did in other hotels nearby, would’ve liked something going on, as it’s just nice to come sit and enjoy some entertainment when there’s nothing really going on in the surrounding areas. The staff were really nice and accommodating, they were kind enough to hold my bags after checkout. The area itself was nice during the day, lovely atmosphere and lots of cafes/ shops nearby. However at night, there wasn’t many people, it got really empty, as compared to places like Brighton where there are people always about. The shops close quite early 9pm some are there till 10.

We had a lovely stay, unfortunately the area around the hotel is dirty and run down and a favourite area for local drunkards to congregate. Other than that, our room was clean and comfortable. The cold tap in the sink could do with a repair or replacement.

The hotel is so out of level the bed was downhill & a death trap. The tv didn’t work, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned, the handle was broken and couldn’t be flushed. No body wash or soap in the dispensers. Noisy room. Don’t stay here

Dear Elizabeth,We are sorry to hear you weren't entirely happy with your stay. We are having the water temperature checked in the room. We upgraded all our bath mixers last year and they have all been calibrated so it should have been easy to control using the temperature control.We don't provide hotel dinners because we are very centrally located. Terminus Road, which has a wide choice of restaurants for both lunch and dinner with a wide range of cuisines, is situated just two minutes' walk from the hotel.We found the majority of our guests preferred to go out for dinner and it wasn't feasible to continue with the service. The Pier is also just across the road with a choice of food kiosks. Our staff are always happy to advice guests on places to eat dependant on their preferences. Kind regards,

Old hotel but looks to have been refurbished to a good standard .Room was overlooking the sea front and a good breakfast to start the day .Parking available with a hotel voucher at two pounds a day

An ok stay
We had no hot water for our entire stay. We advised the reception on the morning after our first night to be told they will sort it. Tried again that evening and still none, went down again and basically told they have 1 boiler for 45 rooms, we then checked out and made them aware again and they claimed a boiler maintenance had been in. There was also marks on the walls and the floor had what looked like tea stains

pier hotel nice stay
pier hotel is in a great location we had a seaview classic room right opposite the pier. the room was comfortable and most of all we had a bath included. Parking was just around the corner and with the parking permit issued by the hotel £2 was very good value. Lots to do in Eastbourne The hosts at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating would definitely stay here again Only negative it had huge windows and the room was quite light even when trying to sleep there was black out curtains (good quality) but didnt quite work

The room we got looked completely different and smaller to the photos of the room we booked. The bathroom was dirty, sink was filthy snd there was no shower curtain, so the water splashed out everywhere. The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and the noises througiout the night meant we had a terrible nights sleep. The noisy bar below was not mentined beforehand and having not stayed in the area before we had no idea just how noisy it would be.

Good location. Room was very small and dark (112) with no air in. No air conditioning in the building. Breakfast basic but good value for money. Bed very comfortable. Shower needed more power. On the whole a clean good hotel with great location.

A safe choice
It's a safe choice for a night or two in Eastbourne city center. Amazing view of the pier if you go with a room with a view. Nothing fancy but quite cozy.

Property was in a great location and was nicely decorated, room was very small and could do with a detailed clean, bigger sink in bathroom and a shelf is needed to put toiletries on, smaller desk in room would make room more bearable. Room very noisy between the clock chiming from the Pier and the tuneless bands they have playing in the bar downstairs until gone 11pm, you couldn’t hear the tv over the loudness of the bands. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but £2 for 24 hours through hotel, be prepared to drag your suitcase and belongings up the street. Breakfast was lovely but the toaster needs to be replaced, toast gets stuck at the back and you have to reach right underneath to get it. I didn’t eat at the Emerald Bar, when I asked the staff they screwed their faces up so I swerved it. My bill got messed up several times.

You also have the facility to stop outside the hotel to unload before parking to avoid having to walk with luggage. Our staff are also on hand to help with luggage if needed. Basic room-no wardrobe!
Despite the great location, the room was very basic, with no wardrobe or pegs to hang your clothes - disappointing. There was just a very rickety and narrow chest of drawers - see photo. (Door on left is the en-suite.) The staff were helpful and can’t fault them but it’s the room that really needs upgrading.

Room was a little small but very nicely decorated. Great view of the pier. Breakfast was very tasty, plenty of choice and a reasonable price.

気になった点 : 施設のコンディションと設備
No wardrobe, lumpy mattress, toilet took for ever to flush, to expensive for this standard

Dear Joe,Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you weren't happy with your stay.We are priced competitively with other hotels in the area, and as you stayed over a weekend in August, the price is higher than at most other times. The room you booked was a 'small double' and therefore has basic facilities, usually geared towards overnight stays.We do hope to welcome you back again to experience one of our classic doubles or double sea view rooms overlooking the Pier.Kind regards,

Great location, the hotel was almost okay.
Positives. Great location, good breakfast selection, friendly staff. Nefatives. The room was not very big and a bit noisey. The cleaning could of been better. £5 for a small bottle of beer!!!
