Stopped here as a night before gatwick. Room was clean but warm for some reason we couldn't work out. Restaurant was brilliant and staff mainly ghurkas superb. Parking was tight but Restaurant was full.

Great value and hosts definitely go the extra mile

This was a great value stay. Efficient and friendly reception, shown to my room, spacious room, good shower, porridge and cereal bar given for breakfasts in the room (as well as the usual tea and coffee), proper coat hangers and a quality large kettle. Minor inconveniences would be that it can be difficult to see where to park (very temporarily) and it takes a good couple of minutes to get hot water from the hot water tap over the sink. By the way, the menu and restaurant look great.

Clean and tidy

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting friends. Although on a main road it is in an isolated spot. It did not come with breakfast they did leave cereal bars and porridge pots. The rooms were clean and tidy but with a mismatch of furniture. The food in the restaurant was excellent, very tasty.

Clean & Welcoming

My room was clean although dated. The inn does not do breakfast, however they do provide pots of instant porridge and energy bars. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and carried my suitcase to my room. Now for the best part. The Inn is attached to the Gurkha Nepalese restaurant. The food is top notch with attentive staff, but not in your face. I strongly recommend the 5/6 bean soup for the starter. The dogs danglies.

Staff friendly and helpful. Room was small, unappealing and the shower was covered in timescale. Room was very hot with a very inefficient fan. We actually walked out and found another hotel.

Booked for an overnight stay before flight next day. No issues to locate. Gatwick a 20 minute drive (no traffic). Lots of pubs and eateries in the area - by car!! I can’t imagine walking anywhere from the woodcock as it’s country lanes. Hotel restaurant is very convenient. Menu prices as expected. Indoor and outdoor seating service is prompt and no waiting around. I think this place is popular amongst locals in the area (?). we liked the wall mounted smart tv, kettle / tea / coffe milk in the room, and the soap, shower gel and shampoo provided. Room is cosy and clean enough. Would’ve liked a couple more hooks to hang jackets towels etc. No air con in our room but the 2 fans were helpful. Very warm inside the room in the summer! Open windows and the noise from fast moving vehicles may keep one awake - our room 15 front facing. Check out is straightforward- leave the key in the box on the way out. Parking for over 10 cars at least from what I could see. Would use this hotel again in the future.
