Cozy Matlock Retreat with Wood Stove: Fall Getaways & Ice-Fishing Basecamp

"This was our second September stay at this quaint little cottage. We did run into some cleaning issues. Our host responded quickly noting a new cleaner. This explained the contrast to our stay the year before. Unfortunately the dishwasher broke and was unusable for our second week, but we didn’t let this spoil our fun. We enjoyed a lovely fire in the living room this year. So cozy! The bird song is amazing when enjoying the sun room with a coffee! Good for the soul. we are looking forward to next year."

"The area is very quiet and peaceful. It is close to stores and other activities. The cabin itself is well maintained especially the bedrooms and cookware. However, we had to clean certain spots in the outside as the chairs and table were not clean upon arrival. After cleaning, it was all easy to set up. Overfall solid 9 out of 10 cabin."

"We had a wonderful two week stay. We were close to walking distance to an area where you could sit and watch the sunrise or you can go walk down the pier and go swimming. It’s a short drive to Winnipeg Beach to the full facilities at the boardwalk and all the shopping then a few more minutes drive to Gimli with bigger grocery stores and shops. Location was excellent.Beds were very comfortable. All the linens/towels were fully stocked. The kitchen utensils and dinnerware were plentiful! With all the ceiling fans, we didn’t turn on the A/C once! I would highly recommend this property for your next cottage rental!"

"This listing is beautiful. Very cozy, simple, and family-like design. All facilities are in good shape and well equipped, just like you'd want in your own home. Relatively quiet environment with nature sounds. Well-lit with natural sunlight. It's worth the budget!. Truly a retreat location. I hope to be there for more retreats in the future. Thank you."
