Newest Hotel
It's the newst hotel so people say it's the best hotel. I stayed in Sawa as well but yes this one is new and better but not excellent. Especially the robby attendance was terrible. It takes time and some of them are not nice at all.

Family Vacation
If you like a hotel that is clean, secure & calm, then look no further. I was very impressed by the level of cleanliness, even the pool. There is a baggage scan & metal detectors upon arrival. The hotel location is very calm & quiet even during the day. Breakfast buffet was exceptional...something for everyone. Burger at Skybar was delicious, though a bit pricey. There's also a bakery next to the lobby. All staff members were very courteous & friendly. Hopefully, someday they can have an ATM machine like some other hotels in town.

I was charged a bill for mini bar, which no one told me about when we moved in. All I was told, was that I enjoyed the drinks I must pay for them. Sincerely, I thought it was part of the package, since we were unaware until we were checking out. We were also told we were not the first to complain about. The manager even threatened us, and this is while we were running out of time for our flight. Also, we were told transportation was available, to drop us at the airport, but we waited in vain. They kept saying the driver was not available.

Séjour agréable comme toujours, standard maintenu depuis des années, bravo. Certaines chambres nécessitent encore des rénovations Personnel très sympa, retravailler l’approche commercial du service administratif (réservations)

Bon confort pas trop loin de l'aéroport
De construction Chinoise (il me semble) et situé à 10 minutes de l'aéroport cet hotel propose un confort convenable avec une bonne literie, des chambres propres et pas trop petites, une propreté sans reproche. Certes l'hôtel est sans charme mais l'essentiel est présent ce qui est pas fréquent à Douala Personnels attentifs et petit dejeuner convenable. Restauration non testée. Rapport qualité prix très convenable donc.

Room was okay with pool view. No toothbrushes offered. I couldn’t get 2 keys to work simultaneously together. Once reception activated one key the other stopped working. The restaurant staff is so unprofessional. I went downstairs to the ground floor restaurant and the waiters kept chatting among themselves even while taking my order. Another time I called reception and this guy just hung up even before I’d finished talking. The hotel is great however the staff is a mess. Hotel location is great.

Mon séjour s'est faite dans le cadre d'une rencontre avec les hommes et femmes d'affaires de Douala. J'ai apprécié le cadre et la qualité de l'infrastructure, l'accueil, une bonne connexion Wifi, chose qui facilite l'interconnexion et profiter de la piscine après une journée de travail.

Great hotel in great area. But mind the attitude.
The hotel is nice. One of the best hotels in Douala. Nice area, nice room, nice restaurant and nice cleaning quality. But front desk attitude seems need to be improved, feeling bad when checkin and also checkout, especially a person named Cyril, bad attitude and even not willing to give me the change after I pay the minibar fee. He said there is no change and not even try to fix it, seems like to force me to take the change as his tips. After all, this is a nice hotel.

nice lodging with beautiful pool
Easy checkin, nice buffet breakfast, beautiful pool, decent gym, basic bedrooms but nice bathrooms. Good security outside, with some parking.

hôtel très propre
J’ai beaucoup aimé le Star Land hôtel. L’endroit où il est situé nous permet de se promener à pied dans le quartier qui semble pas mal sécuritaire. Le personnel était gentil et attentif à nos besoins. Ma chambre était spacieuse et propre. La piscine est géniale. Il n’y a que la nourriture que j’ai un peu moins aimé mais dans l’ensemble, j’ai bien aimé mon expérience au Star Land hôtel.

Bon hôtel mais deux irritants.
Le Starland hotel est un bon hotel, relativement bien situé. Durant mon séjour, il y a eu deux irritants : ils agrandissent actuellement l'hôtel, ce qui occasionne des bruits assez agressants surtout lorsqu'on veut dormir en journée. Le deuxième irritant : la connexion wifi est très mauvaise sur certains étages. Il faut parfois descendre au lobby pour pouvoir se connecter. Il faudra qu'il améliore ce point en doublant leur capacité d'accueil.

Good with some issues
The hotel is the best I have been to in Douala. It is not a 5 stars hotel but it has all we need and it is clean and comfortable. That being said, the internet was VERY bad and when I'm saying bad, I mean AWFUL. You clicked on a link and waited 20 seconds for the page to charge, sometimes more. Also, when I got to the counter for check out, there were two clients before me and I had to wait for an hour to check out, that is how fast it was. No one was mean to me. The staff was nice but you have to know these things before you book.
