"We recently stayed here while visiting family in Iowa. Overall, it was a decent experience with both positives and negatives. We specifically booked a poolside room, expecting easy access to the pool area. While our room technically overlooked the pool, it was located upstairs and around the corner, which wasn’t quite what we had in mind when booking “poolside.” The indoor water park was definitely the highlight of our stay. My grandkids had an absolute blast, and it provided hours of entertainment. The room itself was clean, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and pleasant to interact with throughout our visit. The property could use some updating, particularly the carpet in the common areas, which is showing its age. Another disappointment was that the restaurant closed because it opened at 3:00 PM, making it difficult to grab lunch. Overall, if you’re visiting with children and plan to spend time at the water park, it’s worth considering. The friendly staff and clean rooms were appreciated, but some facility updates and expanded dining hours would greatly improve the guest experience."

"Staff was great. Only downfall was no tv reception for the first 2 hours after my check in. Front desk said it was because it was raining hard. Once the rain stopped, I got reception. Tried to take a bath while I was waiting for the tv to work and only had lukewarm water. Was disappointed."

"Our room was a nice size. I especially liked the bed and pillows. Everything in our room was spon on. There was a floor drain somewhere before you walk into the pool. It just needs water poured down it because it stinks. Also! The information on the back of the door states check out time is noon. The front desk shows it's 11. I was here not too long ago and they weren't aware the times were different. They need to change the signs in the rooms! The pool was small and a bit chilly. After we left, they called us to let us know I had left my makeup mirror there and we went and picked it up. I really appreciated that. We'll be back"

"Staff was very nice. We checked in late, past midnight, and we wanted to go right to sleep. The hotel doesn't have an elevator though, so beware. We got to the room and wanted to crash since we were so exhausted. It looks good except the bathroom. There were long hairs all over the toilet and bathroom floor, and behind the bathroom door was disgusting. Clumps of hair, it looks like it's never been swept before. The tub and sink looked fine. However, paying $100 for a room where this happened makes the score low."

"Staff was great, we really appreciated the gift card for 801 Chophouse when we mentioned we were going there for our anniversary dinner. The only issue with the room was that there was shampoo or soap on the shower floor, when I stepped in. I slipped and almost fell. The room is very noisy Also, please get a better quality toilet paper. "
