「We really liked the location, the room size was fantastic. Large fridge which was unexpected. Microwave, kettle, toaster all the amenities. Just a bit dated and in need of TLC, but that wouldn’t stop us from staying again.」

「Orchard Cottage was a lovely stay- it was bright and airy. The cottage has two generous sized bedrooms and living area plus a large bathroom with 2 showers and spa. The grounds are amazing to walk around. And it is not too far from Castlemaine.」

「A charming house in the middle of nowhere. Loved listening to the birds and watching the sheep, rabbits and ducks from the veranda. Fireplace heats though the whole place. We will be back」

「We were out during each of the 4 days we were there, but the garden are looked very nice.However the driveway was a nightmare and we had to negotiate the curve with 2 “back & fill” when driving to the door to drop our luggage.We parked 1/2 way up the drive in the guests’ area because part of our stay there were other people parked at the top. Just as well it wasn’t raining, in which case we would have gone elsewhere.At the bend in the drive on the road side there is a precipitous drop, so really...

「Very picturesque. The room was large with a comfortable bed and two comfortable armchairs. The bathroom was adequate but the mirror placement is a bit awkward for ladies though there is a larger mirror within the closet door. Quite clean with coffee and tea available and a generous fruit bowl. The split system was great and it is very quiet spot. The owner was very warm and welcoming as well as helpful with directions. 」

「Elbert’s property was a perfect choice for a quiet getaway with our two dogs! The dogs loved the space to run around and we had a great time hanging out by the dam, in the canoe, playing tennis and stargazing at night. Elbert also gave some great recommendations for things to do in the area and we even went on a bush walk following one of the trails he’d mapped out. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend! 」

「The property was light, bright and comfortably cool thanks to the thoughtful turning on of the airconditioning before our arrival on a warm day. Beautifully presented and comfortable, we had a lovely stay, breakfasting on the side deck and reading in the lounge area which overlooks the town. Attactions and places to dine are only a couple of minutes drive away, and the nature reserve behind the property was a perfect place for a morning walk. Would definitely stay here again.」
