We were having lunch at a restaurant overlooking the ocean in Cape Coast when I looked down and saw this little girl making her way across the rocks. I remember the waves crashing against them not too far away and thinking how slippery they must have been for her to be walking on them while balancing that tray...it's amazing the things that become second nature to people as a result of their circumstances.

View from Elmina Castle. My visit there was one of the best and saddest moments of the trip to Ghana.
You can't really say how powerful it is going to be until you find yourself there.

"We really did appreciate the large poly tank to have plenty of water, and consistent electricity. Our driver did amazing getting to the top of the hill in his tro-tro van. He and our guide really enjoyed watching the soccer (football) matches on your big screen with satellite. My family enjoyed having broadband to watch a couple of movies on the upstairs big screen TV. "Totally overpriced. Waited 1,5 hours for lunch and was served overcooked, burnt, overpriced, and bland pasta.
