「Our stay at Hotel Amira was beyond expectations and exceptional. The location and the staff, especially the hotel manager, went above and beyond to make our stay more than comfortable. The location was great. Several choices of restaurants nearby and close to beaches. Having stayed at many places in Costa Rica I would highly recommend Hotel Amira as a great place to stay.」

「Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

「Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. 「Great little house with everything you need. The pool is a bit small, but has an outdoor shower and bbq! The only thing is that we thought it was beach front and it is really a Kilometre away ot more. However, Carrillo beach is isolated and beautiful!」

For the price we paid though, we were hoping for higher level of cleanliness both inside and out. 「We had an amazing trip. It felt like a once in a lifetime vacation. The villa was beautiful and the view was breathtaking. Everything was very clean and Alex and Jenny were great! We took advantage of meals being prepared every day and it was so nice to sit around the table with the beautiful backdrop and wonderful food. All of us, ages 5 to 75 enjoyed the pool daily. 」

「Entiendo que la dueña es una estadounidense pero el alojamiento está en Costa Rica, por lo que al no hablar español el idioma nativo de mi país Costa Rica se hizo algo complicado el tema de la comunicación, posterior cuando llegamos al lugar nadie nos recibió, el lugar no está a 15 minutos de playa Carrillo como lo indica y tampoco se indica que está en una montaña por lo que no me pareció correcto que se omitieran esos detalles y sobre todo lo más molesto la piscina estaba sucia y no tenía luz...
