「The facilty is excellent in every way. The operators were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The only downside is the 8km of very rugged dirtroad to get to the facility. Average speed about 15-20km/h and that was still pushing the comfort level in driving on the road. But we'll still go again -- just to enjoy the safari tents the next time.」

「Went for 3 nights with the kids and a friend of mine. We had an awesome time. The place itself was cozy and had lots of character. There was a little fishing hole in the floor inside that we caught two fish in! Pearl was an awesome host, showing us how to get fishing bait and ensuring our stay was an enjoyable one. 「We were so thrilled to meet our hosts. We upgraded to the boat with the hole. It was the most fun I have had in years. We invited our family to our accommodations (they were staying by Tonquin Beach) they all expressed the desire to come stay at Strawberry Island with Pearl and Brett at a future date. The beds were sooo comfy, my son and I slept like babies. The whole space was welcoming and Magical.」

「Despite a day and a half of constant rain we had a very good four-day stay. The location can’t be beat: the house has beautiful views of Chesterman Beach, with good seating areas inside and out to take advantage of the vista. The house is quiet and feels very private, nestled among the trees. The kitchen is fully-equipped (better than many other places we’ve stayed). The bed was comfortable. The large washer and dryer were very useful, especially when we got wet in the rain. It’s a short drive...

We loved the deck and hot tub especially on rainy days. Easy walking distance to Chesterman Beach , beaches groceries, and an awesome bike and walking trail that stretches for miles .
