Pelican Beach Resort and Conference Center is one of the top destinations for families and a beach that Southern Living Magazine voted #1 in the country! Our condo has been renovated with beautiful tile, contemporary and plush living room and dining room furnishings, new paint, area rugs, and luxurious bedding. All the amenties you could dream of for your time on the coast. We are continuing to update, so please check back for progress to make your time on the Emerald Coast more pleasurable! The condo includes a King Bed in the Master with private bathroom, a new Queen sleeper sofa, and two twins in the guest room that connects to another full bathroom. Plenty of room for 6 people! The resort is located in the heart of Destin, near family activities and every restaurant imaginable. Swing by the front desk if you would like a recommendation or need directions at any point during your stay. We are located directly across the street from Big Kahuna's Waterpark. Just a mere minute from several chain grocery stores, you will find it easy to stock your refrigerator with supplies. A movie theater, fishbowl bowling alley, and shopping are minutes away for fun and entertainment! From your spacious 9th floor condo, watch the dolphins play in the beautiful emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico, or spend your day swimming and sunbathing in the gulf or in any of the 3 resort pools. Thirsty? Grab a refreshing beverage at the Beachside Tiki Bar if you desire a pina colada, bushwacker, or other refreshing beverage. After a day of frolicking in the sun, grill a delicious steak and your local catch on one of the many resort grills just a few steps from your balcony. You can also unwind in the beachfront hot tub while the kids enjoy pizza or fun in the resort arcade. We also have a 1BR, 2BA condo within Pelican Beach Resort at VRBO 1386337.

we saw some roaches in the bathroom and kitchen and told the host and asked her if we could get some spray or possible pest control in the unit she called us and said why dont you just get out and that we found the pictures of roaches on the internet she said we would receive a full refund. we said we didnt want to leave we just got there and we had no where else to go because it was later in the evening. she asked us to leave and find somewhere else after 20 minutes of her being mean to us we hung up we didnt end up leaving we went and got some spray on our own and the 3rd day the bug guy came and he sprayed also but the 4th day they were stillin there. she stated that florida has bugs, lizards, and alligators and to deal with it. we live in florida in cocoa beach and we know what palmettos are and roaches.We did not ask for our money back or to leave just pest control and she called us liars and said we brought them in there. very bad attitude.we havent spoke to her since the first night. the maids said talk to the front desk so we did but they said we would have to talk to the host. we said no to that. we have videos and also we are very clean and video of how we left the unit. also very dirty oven and inside cabinets.

Hosts were very communicative, condo was great loved the renovations and the mattresses were comfortable and the bedding felt super luxurious. I will say they’ve also updated the living room furniture, I’m sure more people prefer coffee tables but I chose this one for the ottoman so my husband and I could snuggle easier (we came in the off season so I knew we’d have more rainy/cold days). But that was the only con and obviously personal preference, kitchen was well equipped, I loved the fridge, the laundry was GREAT just remember smaller loads and the dryer will take longer. The hot tub was great, husband used the grills, staff did not hesitate when we had many questions and security was also friendly and helpful.

Wouldn’t recommend at all for anyone due to unprofessional behavior of owner and cleaning staff! There were dirty pots and pans in the cabinet. Dried up food in all of them. I sent pictures to the owner and she wrote it off as lack of prior guest not running the dishwasher. They were in the cabinet dirty, so someone put them in there dirty. This shows that through cleaning and inspection isn’t done before new guest arrive! The washer had a thick film of mold and mildew in it. So we couldn’t even use it, and falsely advertised as newly renovated. The couch pillows were worn and dirty and there was no ottoman as shown in the listing. Due to human error we were late to exit because we thought we were to leave on Sunday instead of Saturday. We were rushed and harassed to vacate or have security called. We had 4 people with a weeks worth of clothing personal belongings and food to pack up. Not to mention me being a heart patient and physically disabled. They had no respect nor compassion. And even charged an extra 250 for being an hour and a half late getting out. I called the owner to explain human error was why were we late getting out. She yelled at me was rude and hung up on me. Before even allowing me to speak on why we were late leaving. That is bad business and disrespectful so I wouldn’t recommend her condo to anyone!

The resort and unit was beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed even though we did not use anything. The only take away was for the first day we did not have any hot water and enough towels. The owners did send someone but too many cold showers. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The view was nice although I was disappointed my elderly mom couldn't see us from the balcony at the beach.The pools were very nice. I wish they would put a mat by the back entry from the pool. Unfortunately, I slipped and had a nasty fall. Thankfully only a bad bruise down my left arm.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. The condo was beautiful and had a great view of the beach/pool area. The zigzagging balcony was the only inconvenience to us because the kids turning the corner before you and loosing complete site of them and maneuvering a wagon through it.

Great spot right on the beach

This condo was perfect for what we wanted for our summer vacation. We book last minute and were thankful to find such an ideal spot still available to us. The condo was spacious and stocked with everything we needed. The location in Destin is convenient to everything. Between the condo, the pools and the beach, we couldn't have done any better!

This place and the owners are AMAZING!! We had one minor issue with a deadbolt on the door(personal preference with a 2 year old) and they had maintenance run to Home Depot and had it fixed while we were on the beach. They also kept us updated throughout the whole time. The place was very clean and very nice. Everything worked well and looked just as great in person as the pictures. Highly recommend!

Pelican Beach Resort is GREAT! Shannon and Todd, our property owners this year - were horrible !

Shannon was obnoxious and has zero customer service skills. When we called because the master bedroom sliding door wouldn't open, she argued with me that she had opened it that morning. Well, maybe she could get it opened but we couldn't and we asked several young men to come in the room and try to no avail! She said "it wasn't rocket science". How rude? Then she said she would have maintenance come in and I asked her to wait until we were in the room because we had money and medicines laying around. Next thing I know (within an hour) she texted me saying "she couldn't work around my schedule and maintenance had already been there and the door works fine". Well, we arrived about an hour after that and STILL couldn't get the door open. The living room door was fine and they are the same doors. She finally said they were hurricane doors and she got it opened so we should be able to. We never got the door to open the entire time we were there and since maintenance came when we weren't there, we weren't showed any "special" tricks to opening it. She's very rude and I'll never stay at another one of HER properties again. Then there was the cleanliness. The orange juicer in the kitchen cabinet had not been cleaned after use, the pans under the stove had never been cleaned, the floor was filthy. I told her she should talk to her cleaning crew and she said they were great. No place to put soap or shampoo in the 2nd bathroom shower except on the floor. Very disappointing!

Property Was Nasty

I checked in this property on Sunday, May 18th. Upon checkin, I did a walkthrough and noticed that both bathrooms were not properly cleaned. I wish I could upload pictures. Then the master bedroom bed was NASTY. I took pictures, and begin to text the host, but somehow, I didn’t hit send. After I realized that my message wasn’t sent, I emailed and texted the host and sent pictures and videos. Her response was, thanks for letting her know, she’ll get the cleaning team on it. No I’m sorry, or I apologize or nothing. She said that if I had messaged her sooner she could have rectified the situation. But I told her that it still wasn’t too late to make it right. She asked me my suggestions. I told her some compensation or a free night would be nice. Shannon never responded. The unit stated that it was newly renovated and it’s not. I was uncomfortable and it felt nasty. Will not stay again in this unit.

Beautiful Spring Break on the Emerald Coast

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the Pelican Beach Resort. The pools and beach access were so convenient. The view from the balcony was amazing. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend this condo for your next trip.
