Family Reunion

We picked this house because it could accommodate our large family. It was perfect. Plenty of beds. The bunk rooms were great for the kids. Loved all the outdoor seating. The kitchen had everything we needed. Short walk to the beach.

We had an amazing time! We brought our golf cart and had so much fun driving around exploring the island. The beach was beautiful with its white sand and gorgeous sunsets. The house was very accommodating and communication was great.

The house was dirty when we arrived. Not only was it not clean but it was in terrible shape. Drawers missing handles. Moldy and ripped shower curtains. Doors with broken hinges. Way over priced for what it was. The only thing it. Has going for it is that there is plenty of space.

The home is in a good location, however it was not clean at all. Hairs in every bed. Hairs on washcloths. Hair all over the floors. We had to clean before our group got there. On the first evening, the AC went out. I called at 8:30pm and was told no one could come until the next morning. This was not acceptable considering the hot temps. As quick and easy as they fixed in the next morning, someone could have come the night before and avoided a REALLY miserable nights sleep.

The floor was dusty/dirty. There was black mold (I have photos) in the upstairs bedrooms. There wasn’t a functioning can opener of any type in the home and the soap in all bathroom dispensers was basically water. Overall the property was very poorly maintained. Wouldn’t stay here again. It’s a shame because the layout and number of bedrooms is ideal for a family Christmas.

House is in need of some updating and repair. We had one broken bed, one bathtub that didn't hold water, a shower curtain that didn't stay up, and ants in the tub. There were 2 coffee pots, but one leaked and couldn't be used. We had 6 adults and 6 kids from 1 to 17 and was surprised there was no dining table. Only 5 stools at the kitchen island. Regardless of the issues, we had a good time.

Overall, we had mixed feelings about this stay. The location was excellent, and the short walk to the beach was very convenient. The home also had plenty of space to comfortably accommodate our group of 16.The property management company was responsive, and easy to communicate with. They acknowledged our concerns and ultimately provided a partial refund, which we appreciated.Unfortunately, the condition of the home did not match the listing photos or our expectations.We found multiple areas with dark staining around HVAC vents, a ceiling light fixture, and walls that appeared consistent with mold or mildew, along with signs of ongoing moisture issues. We got some rain and a window leaked water into the home and saturated the wall, and an upstairs light fixture was falling off the wall. We were informed that those repairs were too extensive to be completed during our stay.The washing machine had visible black mold and a strong mildew odor, making it unusable for us. While the management company responded to our concerns, it took several days for the initial issues to be addressed, and some of the larger maintenance problems could not be resolved during our visit.The property’s condition significantly impacted our experience. We hope the owners address these maintenance and moisture issues and update the listing photos to accurately reflect the current condition of the property for future guests.

The location of this place is great! We enjoyed waling to the beach each day. The communication with the property owndr was great prior to arrival. When I messaged them with a question the responded within a day. The check in process was also great. The place itself was clean overall. One of the bedrooms had sand in the sheets upon arrival so we had to do a load of laundry right away. Then that night we discoved ants in the kids room upstairs. I called that day and left a message and had no response. I called again a few days later and left another message and had no response. We ended up buying ant spray but this did not fix the problem. They were good about sending messages about trash delays and the tropical storm. The front porch was really nice and had a lot of seating. The place overall was dated and in need of updates. Despite the ants in the kids room our family had a great time.
