"The lodge was cosy, warm and nicely furnished with everything you’d need. Local shops and restaurants are a 5 minute walk away. The lodge is located at the foot of the mountains so when you wake up you’ve got Mountain veiws through all th windows. The local animals are friendly and clean, puppies and cats everywhere. We even had a really friendly orange and white cat join us for snuggles one evening. He was clean and loving. The entire stay was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area. "We had a great stay at 1740. It's a very homely and cosy hotel (good for the cold weather!). The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed talking to the woman on the front desk. Our only suggestion would be to reduce the size of the breakfast. The food was good, but we were only able to eat about a quarter of it. "

She replied to all our questions really quickly, gave us great tips on hiking trails, and even helped us book a taxi with a local Georgian driver who didn’t speak English. The room was perfect for the three of us—spacious, cozy, and with the most amazing view of Mount Kazbegi and the church. We really enjoyed our stay!"
