🌊 Douglas Lake Water Levels – What to Expect by Season
Douglas Lake is a TVA-managed lake, which means water levels change throughout the year.
• Late May – Early September:
Peak water season. The lake is typically near full pool—great for boating, swimming, and dock access.
• April – Mid-May & Mid-September – October:
Transitional months. Water levels rise in spring and begin lowering in fall. Conditions are still scenic and enjoyable, especially for fishing and views.
• November – March:
Low-water season. The lake is drawn down for flood control, so dock access and boating are limited. This is a quieter time focused on views, fireside relaxation, and nearby Smoky Mountain attractions.
Water levels vary year to year, but this seasonal pattern is normal for Douglas Lake and helps keep the region safe from flooding.
🎈 Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, enjoying lake days, or exploring the Smokies, Cobblestone Cove is designed for connection, comfort, and unforgettable memories.

The Neighborhood:
Nestled in a peaceful wooded setting near Douglas Lake, these houses offer privacy while keeping you close to everything. You’re just minutes from historic downtown Dandridge with its charming shops and lakeside views, and still an easy drive to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Getting Around:
We always recommend a 4x4 drive for anywhere in the Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin features paved roads all the way, and with no inclement weather, any car should be fine. However, we recommend 4x4 wheel drive when visiting the area.

• Bears and all types of wildlife are very common in the area! Do not feed or bother the bears or wildlife! Please leave them alone. We have no control over wildlife. They are very protected here and part of our area. Secure your belongings and always lock vehicle doors.
• We have monthly pest control at all of our cabins. Being in the Great Smoky Mountains, we are surrounded by nature and wildlife. Ladybugs, millipedes, and other insects can be difficult to combat around this time of year, even with our constant pest control program in place. It is not uncommon to see them occur in and around the cabin/condo, especially with the opening and closing of doors. This is extremely common for the area and all cabins/condos.
• Being in the mountains, wind can sometimes blow leaves, dirt, or other natural debris into the hot tub. The hot tub has been drained and cleaned to ensure it’s ready for use.
