Casa do Mosteiro

"The owners are great. The property is not. The place is cold for winter, the thermostat is locked, but if you call the owners they will adjust it up some. The place has a smell. It is like a wet dog or mold. The bed is hard, the pillows are flat, and the sheets are thin. It is a multi- stay unit home, if you book a room, there may be another 4 (or more) guests staying there with you sharing the common room. For winter, all the potted plant were brought inside. A bit more communication from the owners as to where they are or where to go for check-in would be appreciated. They are right next door for the record. The owners made a simple bread, fruit, and coffee breakfast with local jam and honey. It was nice and they are good conversationalists. I wish I could rate it higher, but the smell was a big negative for me. "

I want to highlight that, in particular, my wife (who is celiac) enjoyed her time considering the special care and the way that she was protected by the place’s owner through a special menu prepare to her. "Great experience from the moment we drove to the entrance. Very good service. Spectacular building, tasteful decor and beautiful surroundings. Incredible breakfast and amenities. The only few things that made me not give it 10/10 was the fact you have to pay 10€ to use the spa, which I can’t justify with a hotel of this price tag. Also, we wanted to be bougie and order room service but neither of the phones in the room was working so we had to go downstairs to order which kind of defeats the purpose. The only open fountain has very limited hours open. "
