About this property

Black Bear Cabin, shared hot tub, walk to slopes!

  • Summary:

Cabin themed condo in the Black Bear Lodge, an upscale lodge with a heated covered garage, outdoor hot tub, a gas fireplace, and personal ski locker. Walk to the slopes! Condo is also close to outdoor shared hot tub and grill. There is assigned parking for 1 vehicle. A 2nd parking space is available as first come first served.

    The Space:

This cozy, cabin-themed 3BD/3BA condo comes fully stocked with everything you need, inside and out — a great home base for a mountain stay.

The open-concept living space is spacious and easy to live in. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking real meals, the living room has comfortable seating for movie nights or one of the many games provided, and the dining table has room for everyone to gather.

The primary suite has a king bed, TV, a large closet, and an ensuite bath with a soaking tub, double vanities, and a spacious shower. The second bedroom has a twin-over-queen bunk with a shared bath across the hall, and the third has two twin beds with an adjacent full bath. All beds feature Simmons Beautyrest mattresses, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room brings total sleeping capacity to 8. Every bedroom has its own TV, plus a large one in the living room. After a day on the slopes, relax by the gas fireplace or dig into the selection of games and puzzles.

The deck has outdoor seating with views of Mt. Crested Butte, and a shared outdoor hot tub and propane grill are just steps away. The lobby offers extra space to relax and store ski gear. Ski access is an easy walk across the street — head slightly right of the West Wall Lodge to reach the West Wall Lift via the public easement. From there, take the West Wall or Peachtree Lift up and ski down to the main base area.

Parking: One dedicated space in the heated, secure garage as well as one additional garage space that is first come first served.

The bus to the ski resort and transit center (which has free busses to the Town of Crested Butte) stops at the corner on the side of the building, so really easy to come and go for the kids, without a car.

This place had most of what we needed. It wasn’t luxury, but I would say it was reasonable for the price. People above us were really noisy. We struggled sleeping but everyone overall was pretty comfortable. Master got hot at night because you couldn’t leave the door open on the first floor. Missing small things like Kleenex, Q tips and cotton balls, but overall it had decent space for a group of girls with a good view and good location. Would probably return.
