Pros - Great location, Large house
Cons - Dated property, Tired interiors, Not very clean
We stayed here for a 4 nights during the kids' spring break. Having read the previous reviews, we were skeptical, but decided to chance it. Probably the only reason why we weren't extremely disappointed. We were just disappointed. We checked in around 8pm on our first night to find that the place was dusty (crumbs on the coffee table, dust on the small television in the walk out basement). The whole place looks dated and tired with stained toilets / bath tubs, frayed couches, etc. The beds were fine. On our first nice, one of the kids lost their footing on the stairs and held on to the railing which immediately came off the wall, and the child tumbled down the stairs. One of the bedrooms also had some undergarments and diapers in the drawers. The next day morning, a lady came by the house stating that she was the previous renter and had left a few things behind. She mentioned that she had washed all the linens, made the beds and done the dishes before she checked out. She had tried to reach the cleaning lady at 4pm when she checked out and couldn't reach her. All in all, this might explain the state of the place, but during covid times, we thought it was utterly irresponsible of the owner to rent out a place in such a state. The water pressure in the bathrooms were a problem and I reached out to Jerry about it. He got back to me in a timely fashion and asked me to connect with the cleaner to organize a plumber. This was taken care of swiftly.
In short, the location is great, the house was large (which was great for us), tired, dated and not very clean. Even the kitchen utensils were stained. The BBQ was very dirty as well.
We will definitely not be returning.
