House was good had all the things we needed.
The main cupboard under the bench the door kept falling off. as I did not have any tools I could not repair. the step on the back patio are lose which I did trip on these need replacing due to the hazard of falling/tripping.

Location was great the unit needs and upgrade very dusty has a strange smell carpet in bedrooms is hard and crusty shower base turning yellow no bath mats and can't really use hot plates in tight spot

Nice accommodation with poor property management
Overall, the property is in a great location, it has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. It was clean and tidy.
But it's the little things missing, that are easily fixed to make this a fantastic rental property.
Firstly, arriving at the property to find the fridge off is not welcoming. When arriving for a holiday on a hot day with a young family, fresh shopping we do expect the fridge to be on. If you want to save money on the days people are not staying there, then get the property manager to turn it on the night before!
The TV is digital but not HD or SMART. In 2022, paying rental rates of a 4-star accommodation, we reasonably expect a HD tv with all free to air channels available.
These are little improvements that can very much lift this property to a four-star accommodation.
The property manager, O’Brien Holiday Rentals were disappointing. They have no regard for consumer protection and customer service and it is a shame they don’t follow the STAYZ best practises.
• O’Brien expect the rental money directly paid to them over the phone and not from Stayz. So they have access to you credit card details. This should be done through Stayz to protect our private bank details.
• O’Brien take cash deposit bond upfront and not refund for up to 10 business days after check-out. This could be better managed by a ‘HOLD’ on the credit card like most rental agencies.
• O’Brien expects copies of your driver’s license and credit card to be uploaded to their portal/platforms. In 2022 when consumer protection and identity protection is so important this is unnecessary. The rental and bond is paid upfront and STAYZ has all our personal details. Additionally, they already know your bank details has they deducted the money upfront. There doesn’t seem to be any care for the consumer.
• Keys are picked up from O’Brien Offices which is annoying as we were told over the phone by O’Brien that keys would be available by a drop box at the property.
• Customer Service – The iron at the property is burnt and dirty. It destroyed one of my shirts. I rang the property manager for a replacement and got no action or response.
Firstly, arriving at the property to find the fridge off is rediculous.

Nice home away from home
A nice base for a Phillip Island stay, with a fully-equipped kitchen, air conditioning/heating in all rooms, and a comfortable lounge room. Some nice touches from the host: beach equipment and activities in the garage and games in the cupboard.

Nice stay, great location
We enjoyed our stay in the unit, it has everything we needed for our little family of 3. Bathroom shower is a little dated, otherwise all good. Walking distance to beach, playground, cafes, supermarket etc.

On Chapel Delight
It was a lovely find for our family of 3. Location is central, the house was clean and well equiped, and the games were wonderful to keep us and our son entertained when the weather turned. The only suggestion we would have for the owners is to maybe have a tea pot/coffee plunger or list that there isn't one, as happy to bring our own with the tea and coffee next time. We will definitely be back, its a wonderful find. xox

Home away from Home
Located in a quiet area of Cowes but so close to beach and shopping strip.

Location was great
We had a lovely stay, the location is on point and close to everything shops, dinning, beach & park all within walking distance.
We were obviously first to stay after lockdowns so needed a good spring clean & dishes etc a bit dirty. Size was fine for 3 of us but is a small unit.
Disappointed there was no wifi or smart TV, I missed this detail when booking. Highly recommend owner to considers these for a more comfortable stay for guests.

Fantastic Location
Loved how close this rental was to the beach! It made it so much easier with a toddler in tow. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed for a comfy stay.
