"Amazing stay in a gorgeous cottage. Hazel met us on arrival and was absolutely lovely - nothing is too much trouble and we really felt at home. She recommended the local chippy for our tea - which we can confirm was excellent! My girls especially loved the Games Room which was exceptionally well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend."

"Die Bilder im Inserat versprechen nicht zu viel - die Aussicht vom Wohnzimmer und der Terrasse ist grandios. Ein wenig getrübt wurde der Aufenthalt dadurch, dass ständig gelüftet werden muss, weil das Holzhaus sonst etwas muffig riecht. Dass bei dem üppigen Mietpreis der Strom noch extra dazukommt, ist etwas übertrieben."

"We spent a full week in the comfort of Melfort Village. Walled Garden Mews No.9 was extremely comfortable for the four of us. We would not hesitate to return for a second holiday there. The apartment was well equipped and very roomy with a wonderful view down to the loch. WiFi in the Walled Garden Mews was excellent. "This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. "We extended our stay in Melfort village and were rewarded with beautiful weather. Upper Cooperage is a lovely comfortable apartment which now has an ensuite shower room as well as main bathroom. Everything we need is provided and the village is so peaceful and relaxing. All the staff are welcoming & helpful & the Monday music night was great fun. Recommend a stay here."

"In a week of rain we managed to find many dry days. The location of the village was outstanding with views of the loch and an abundance of birdlife ( I counted 40 species in the area in the week). Melfort has great access to the isles through Oban and the coastline along the A 816 offers opportunities for gardens (Arduaine) and loch views from Ardfern. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was very well equipped and very comfortable. Olwen was excellent in the office assisting us with places to go sightsee. The only criticism I have is that the electricity was very expensive for just a week."

"Very relaxing break in a beautiful location. Had a lovely room with gorgeous loch views, perfect for the recharging escape I wanted. Hotel is very dog friendly with both the rooms and lounge bar dining. Lounge and terrace lovely for relaxing with a view, definitely recommend Forest Hill’s and the Vital Spa where Caroline was fabulous with the Signature Spa treatment. Beautiful area to walk, cycle and explore at Loch Ard and Aberfoyle area makes it idea for either an active or relaxing break. "
