Semi Oceanfront 5 bedroom dog friendly cottage 10 feet to beach access

Beat the Outer Banks traffic with this Friday to Friday dog friendly cottage with lots of room for family fun. Practically oceanfront, this prime location semi-oceanfront cottage is located directly across from the beach access walkway. Outdoor electric luggage/grocery lift will make check in a breeze. Beach has lifeguard within 100 yards of walkway during summer months. Relax on the spacious decks or in your hot tub or play in the surf or just enjoy your time together in the spacious home.
The space
Towels and sheets are provided. Kitchen, cleaning and laundry supplies are provided. Starter soap, bathroom and paper supplies are also provided.

Twin bedroom can be converted to king bed upon request. 7 day notice is required for conversion.

The main living room has 55" Roku TV. Ground floor living area has 55" smart TV. All bedrooms have 32" smart TVs. The smart TVs have basic cable. Bring your own firesticks to access any of your own premium channels.

Outdoor electric luggage/grocery lift will make check in and out a breeze. No more carrying luggage, groceries, beach bags and coolers. Lift can stop on second and third floor outside deck. Cannot be used by adults, children or dogs.

Outdoor enclosed shower.

Primary living room has wet bar with icemaker.
Guest access
There is parking for 4-6 cars in driveway. 2 of the cars can be parked on sand beside the concrete parking pad. There is no on street parking available.

Bike and walking paths are at the entrance of the neighborhood and go on for miles in each direction. These paths make access to shopping, grocery stores, restaurants and bars a short bike ride or stroll.
Other things to note
Friday check in makes traffic into the Outer Banks much lighter. It also means you can enjoy less crowded beaches on Saturday and Sunday.

We allow 2 small dogs. You must provide verification that your pet is on a flea and tick program.

No beach supplies are provided. You can have bikes, kayaks, chairs and umbrellas delivered from local rental companies.

Nearly as good as beachfront

Great location directly across street from beach access (closer walk than some of the beachfront homes on the street). Note that there are a lot of steps on the walkway going up and down the dunes, so it's still a bit of a pain to lug beach gear or for people who struggle with lots of stairs (but this is true of all Corolla beach access). The house was great and very well-equipped. It was not lacking for any kitchen utensils, appliances, tupperware, etc. Debbye provides a welcome kit with hand soap, shampoo/body wash, paper towels, etc. Smart TVs and sound machines in every bedroom. A/C worked perfectly and kept the house very cool. Outdoor luggage lift was very handy for unloading the car and moving in. The upper level was a perfect hangout spot for our group with a very comfortable family room/great room area. There are 5 bedrooms (Top floor: 1 king room; Middle floor: 2 queen rooms, 1 double bunk room, 1 twin/king room) and the bottom floor with a sleeper sofa (not a private room and we used a lot for entering/exiting the house). Only downside is hot tub deck is only accessible from two downstairs bedrooms, so anyone else wanting to use it has to walk through those rooms. Debbye is very communicative and wants to make sure you have a great experience. Overall the house felt very welcoming and comfortable due to the decor, furniture, upgraded kitchen + baths (unlike many typical rentals which feel very sterile). Would recommend to anyone with 10-12 people.

Location Location Location!

Just as the pictures and description say, this property is directly across the street from the beach boardwalk. In fact you can see the water from the living room windows. Great views for sunrise, sunset on the decks and easy access to everything Corolla offers. The house is definitley more cottage feeling than a new build with some quirks such as the typical August musty/moisture smells and thinner walls/floors for noise. This adds to the charm in my opinion. Everything is clean and in working order including A/C (ice maker is fantastic!) and amazing dining space for 12 comfortably. FYI for those looking for a yard (we weren’t) but there isn’t one. The beach is your yard :) Though we had a lower level flood from the water heater that did not allow us to use that level, communication was great and the owner took action to resolve quickly. Overall a great first stay in OBX! Thank you!!

Last minute family vacation

This was a great experience from start to finish! Our hostess was on quick to respond to any questions and went the extra mile during our stay. This home is the perfect location and has a great morning view of the water from the walk up. It was very clean, cozy and the kitchen was well stocked. Also, beds were comfortable! We hope to return again!

Fabulous Location!

Comfortable bedrooms and wonderful comunal space are abounding at this beach house. The location to the beach can’t be beat!! We had pretty much everything we needed for our family vacation to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked - many things we didn’t even use/ need. Only suggestions: get rid of the crib. It isn’t really safe. We had a 3 year old and we were afraid it would fall apart with her in it. We had plenty of space for 11 of us. Enjoyed playing games every night, star gazing and of course going to the beach mere steps away during the day. Thanks!!

Wonderful Owner and Lovely Beach Home

My family of 12 spent a week in Ocean Sands. The beach house is lovely! Very close to the beach, very clean and spacious! We had the perfect stay! I definitely recommend this home for large families! Thank you so much!!!
