This property is located in the 4X4 area of Corolla N.C. You MUST HAVE A TRUE 4X4 VEHICLE! To access the property (6.75 miles from the paved road). via beach, "the Beach is the ROAD" sugary sand, ground clearance could be an issue. 7.5”+ of ground clearance is recommended.
Air down tires to 18-20psi.

Ocean views, farm style cottage

Only a short walk (1500ft) to the beach from this 4th row beach cottage. Enjoy the 4x4 family friendly beach. Located near the Corolla wild horses, great surf fishing, with magnificent sun rises and sun sets. A short drive to shopping, dinning, the Corolla historic village and light house. Public boat launch located at Carova park.

Enjoy the ocean breeze on the large covered deck of this cottage with a screened in room for a private setting. Two king master suites. Full size bunk beds in hall loft. Bunks made up upon request. 2.5 bath with an outdoor shower to rinse sand and salt from the ocean. Spacious kitchen with dining room table.

Bath towels, sheet and bed spreads. cleaned between guests.
Disinfected between renters.
Includes washer and dryer usage.
Charcoal grill provided. Please bring your own charcoal.
Dogs are the only pets permitted, pet fee applies.
NO FIRES in fireplace.
NO FIRES in yard.
Minimum age of 25 for primary renter.
Recycle in blue trash cans, bottles and cans only.
All trash must be bagged. Trash bags are provided.
We highly encourage the purchase of rental/vacation insurance due to storms and the beach only access.

Beach Parking - Currituck County requires beach parking permits between Last week of April thru first week of October
2 parking permits come with rental

Parking Permits are not required to drive on beach.

This house is absolutely beautiful and close to the beach. It has everything you need plus more, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, baby gate at the bottom of the steps and basic necessities if you didn’t make it to the store on the way. The owners are super fast at responding with any questions. The house is dog friendly and you can’t tell because there isn’t a smell of pets only a can for doggy poo and water bowls. I’m so grateful to find a house without weight limit restrictions on pets because it made my dream come true for my pups to see the ocean. The horses come up to the backyard and sometimes welcome you at night. We were a first timer visiting the 4x4 area and could not of had a better experience. Thank you so much Jim and Sue for sharing your home, we can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing, Fun, and Adventure

Perfect stay at this lovely house in Carova Beach. We loved the deck safely providing a place for our golden doodle to play, kitchen with most everything needed to make delicious meals, comfy furniture and beds, nice deck overlooking the ocean and beautiful sunrises, horses in the yard, and our first experience watching baby sea turtles heading to the ocean. What a beautiful time we have had in a beautiful house. Thank you!!!

Relaxing beach vacation

The house was wonderful. We dont travel often because I am super nervous about accommodations being clean. This house was exceptionally clean. I was very pleased. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen for our week long stay. We loved that there was beach chairs and an umbrella for our use. Beds were comfortable. We saw some horses in the yard but over all we only saw about 10 the entire week. We were hoping the baby turtles were going to make their appearance while we were there but the nest about a mile down the beach just wasnt quite ready before we left.(should be the next day or so we were told) We ventured back to the pavement almost every evening. Beach driving was a first for us and is definitely an experience. air down. My 4runner did great at 20PSIWe would definitely recommend this home. The entire rental process was smooth as was check in /out. The owners clearly take pride in their little slice of heaven at the beach. FYI just a tip for planning purposes… The charcoal grill is on the smaller side so just dont plan to grill the whole meal like you would be able to on a gas grill or blackstone.

We had a great stay at Shore Relaxing! The house was clean and just as described. Plenty of space for our family. It had all the necessary amenities and was comfortable. It was just a short walk to the beach but we often drove to transport coolers, chairs, etc. We loved seeing the horses right in our driveway! We would absolutely stay here again!!

Beautiful and Peaceful Property

We loved our stay here. The home was beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. Check in/out was easy. The surrounding property is lush and private. Very family and dog friendly. 4x4 is of course a must, as it’s a hike from the pavement down the beach. Grocery/food options are nonexistent nearby but the seclusion is what makes this area special.

Best family vacation ever! Exactly what we were looking for. Met all of our needs while being close to the beach! Decor is great. Wish we could stay longer and hope to return in the future! The beach driving was a first for us and we loved it!

Nice Place

Have stayed in several places in Carova, this is one of our favorites. The house was very clean and had ample space and amenities. Communication from the owner was great. Plenty of privacy and is on the south side of Carova, so it's closer to the 4x4 access. Would stay here again.

The house and location was amazing. The beach drive was long. It’s definitely not easy going back and forth to town it is not an easy drive. The house itself was great and had everything we needed. We were disappointed with the grill so we did not end up grilling out. Overall the house and location were perfect for us! We will definitely be back

Perfect beach getaway

We loved our stay at the property! Everything was extremely clean and this was a well-stocked home with excellent amenities and everything you need for a small or large group. It was a cooler time of year, but we still enjoyed beach walks and drives around where we would see the horses. The owners provided clear instructions and their info on airing down for beach access was essential!

Going to Carova/Corolla was a bucket list trip for me. It didn’t disappoint. I saw lots of horses, lazy days on the beach and relaxing afternoons and evenings. I highly recommend this property.

Refreshing

This lovely home is a peaceful haven from the typical busyness of a summer beach vacation. Everything was just as pictured. Driving on the beach was such a fun adventure and having wild horses visit the yard made for treasured memories. Although the upstairs air conditioning had just broken the day we arrived, the owners were quick to have the unit replaced. In the meantime, they had window units brought in to keep things cool, so we never experienced any discomfort. The ac repairman was very considerate as well. Response times were quick and all questions immediately answered by the owners. The home is picturesque, cozy, exceptionally clean, and beautifully decorated. The beds are soft, the living room is wonderfully comfortable, and the two screened-in porches are especially pleasant places to eat or relax. There's actually not a bad seat inside or outside the house! The owners have thought of everything imaginable: well-stocked pantry and supplies for every conceivable need. We highly recommend this house and would absolutely visit again!
