Make memories that will last a lifetime at Whale Song, a well-maintained and family-friendly oceanside home in Corolla's Whalehead Beach. Easy access to the beach, with just a four-minute walk. You will love the private pool*, hot tub and game room for fun and relaxation. The large, grassy backyard is perfect for games or letting the kids run around. The top level features a large, open great room with a gas fireplace, vaulted ceilings and new LVP flooring. The newly remodeled kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking dinner in and offers abundant seating for large groups. After dinner, relax in the Ships Watch or outside on the deck as the sun sets.

This home is perfect for extended families or multiple groups vacationing together. Along with a primary suite on the top level, there are three additional master suites on the mid-level along with two full-sized beds, offering plenty of space and privacy. Downstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and a game room with pool table. A convenient wet bar and mini-fridge are perfect for pool-side drinks and snacks. There is also a second full-sized refrigerator for extra food and beverage storage providing convenient access to the outdoor grills. Take advantage of the outdoor speakers while you lounge by the pool or soak in the hot tub.

Centrally located in Corolla, Whale Song is just two miles north of Monteray Plaza for conveniences such as grocery stores, specialty food markets, gas stations and a coffee shop, plus beach gear stores and rentals. Nearby dining and takeout services include Uncle Ike's, Lighthouse Bagels and Sooey's BBQ. For retail therapy, head over to Timbuck II Shopping Village where you'll find favorites such as The Cotton Gin, The Cottage Shop and Gray's. The village also features some of Corolla's most popular restaurants including Mike Dianna's Grill Room and La Dolce Vita. After dinner options include Big Buck's for ice cream, mini golf and go carts or enjoying beautiful sunsets at the Currituck Beach Lighthouse in Historic Corolla Park.

The Good: We loved the layout the house and location/proximity to the beach. The pool and hot tub were used daily by our group. The house was a short 4-5 minute walk to the beach and with the neighborhood boardwalks and ramps it was very easy to access the beach even with a cart to get the necessary gear almost all the way to the sand.The Bad: This house is in need of some updating and TLC. The air vents/returns were very dirty/black in some rooms, the table finish was worn down and sticky so much so that your skin/clothes would stick to it. While most beds were made before we arrived there were no sheets put on the trundle bed in the bunk room. We asked the owner 3 times for these and each day were told that the local management company would bring them out. They never came so we had to use random blankets and extra pillows from around the house to cover the trundle bed so that someone could use it. Many of the drains in the house drained very slowly and the basement sliding door had its lock strike plate ripped out of the jamb before we arrived. We requested these issues be fixed for safety and cleanliness. The owner sent out the handy man who cleared the drains and made sure that the plumbing system was working well but did not fix the door....we had to use Pool sticks to wedge the door close as a temporary lock.This house has great potential but is in need of updating. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again until the updating is complete.

Overall our stay was excellent. Both the property manager and owner of the house is very accommodating and easy to reach. The location of the house is also phenomenal. The house was stocked well and had everything we needed for the week. My only negative would be the cleanliness and outdated nature of the house. The house was wiped down but not cleaned. Maybe it’s just me bc I look at every single inch of the house. The fixtures were not dusted, cabinets and walls definitely could use a cloth. Further, the house could use updates. The toilet seats have chipped paint, dressers are falling apart, rust on fixtures and many other small issues. Again, the house otherwise was amazing! My family really enjoyed their time there.!

Amazing house and location! Couple blocks from the beach, everyone was super friendly, water was great (minus the jelly fish on some days). We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub-we did put a large canopy over the end of the pool/step area which provided some much needed shade. Outdoor shower came in super handy. Amenities were conveniently located and prices weren’t bad. Whatever issues we had, Aaron was in top of them and they were fixed immediately. Can’t give enough positive feedback on the whole experience-our family truly lived our stay!

Fabulous house and location!!

We had a fantastic vacation in OBX. This was our first time here and our first out of state family vacation. We all enjoyed it very much. The house location was good and very close to the walkway to beach access. Everything was clean when we arrived. There were a couple of sinks that were sluggish in going down, but we were able to 'plunge' them and that helped out immensely. We had a small 'hiccup' with the dishwasher, but it corrected itself and no more issues. We would highly recommend this house as a great place to stay. There were nine of us, so we only ended up using 5 of the 7 bedrooms. The two little one's doubled up and compromised. It was really great having the heated pool and the downstairs area has a full refrigerator and a small bar type refrigerator so the guys were able to have plenty of room for their beer. There were plenty of 'leftover' beach items and that was much appreciated.

Perfect location for family vacation

Located right next to a public beach access point. Takes less than 5 minutes to walk. Easy access to grocery store, beach shopping, putt putt, ice cream, and a few restaurants. Less than 2 miles from those amenities and perfect distance for a golf cart which you can rent locally. Plenty people on the beach but not at all crowded. Neighborhood had a great feel. Only ventured out of Corolla once to go to Kitty Hawk. No need to leave the area unless for something specific. The house was nicely updated in the common areas. The great room fit all 14 of us very comfortably for meals, games, and lounging around. Fit all 14 of us fit perfectly in the bedroom set up. Nicest beach house pool that I’ve experienced. There is enough shallow end to fit inexperienced swimmers. The back yard was great for wiggle ball and cornhole.
