Good Location: No Hot Water / dishwasher

House was as described but the hot water heater broke along with the dishwasher on our second day at the house. Hot water was restored a day before we left, dishwasher was never replaced. I needed to continually reach out to the property management for updates, and the owner only thought the value of hot water and a dishwasher was worth 10% of the overall rental cost.

Outer banks Summer Trip

The property was not cleaned well at all. It did not look like it had been vacuumed in months. It also needed a really good deep cleaning (vents were insanely dusty). We opted for the linen package and the beds very made terribly with sheets that barely fit the bed. I thought for the price it would be much more clean and better serviced.

Great House but could use some sprucing up

We had a great week in Corolla. The location of this house was convenient to the beach. There were a lot of steps leading to the beach, making it difficult to haul all our gear to the beach (just an FYI for families with kids and/or lots of stuff to carry to the beach). The interior of the house is outdated, but clean. We had plenty of space for everyone. There are baby gates, high chairs, and play pens already there, so no need to bring your own. The kitchen is well stocked. I found it odd that there wasn’t any soap or toiletries provided to start us off. Most places that I’ve stayed in provide a small amount of these items to get you started before you make it to the store. However, the only real complaint I had was that the pool had a lot of debris in and around it. Even when the pool lady came in the middle of the week, she still didn’t clean any of it out. She made a rude comment about the kids accidentally dropping an empty juice box in the pool but didn’t bother to clean out any of the leaves. My husband spent a good bit of time doing it himself. We didn’t contact the property owners/management about the issue. I’m sure they would have sent someone out if we had, so this is no fault on them. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. We even received a delicious cheesecake from the owners during our stay!

Loved the private pool!

Our stay was wonderful and we all really enjoyed ourselves! The private pool was so nice to have. It was great only having a 5 minute walk to the beach! Also loved having two master bedrooms - it worked out perfect as we stayed in the downstairs master to be close to our daughter & our in laws stayed upstairs. The owners were very accommodating throughout the process. The only thing I would recommend changing is the check in..I understand it takes time to clean the house but it is a huge inconvenience when we can't check in until around 6pm.

Fantastic family vacation!

All 11 of us loved the pool!!!! Tons of dishes, pans & prep items!! Lots of grill utensils too. Beach chairs, sand toys, and pool noodles etc. Highly recommend this property even if you have young children there is a high chair & pac n play. Don't have to bring everything with you!!

Excellent location to the beach. Nicely stocked kitchen and lots of beach and pool chairs and toys. Hot tub was very nice. Good communication with property manager. Delicious cheesecake delivered by owner. Property a bit run down and cleanliness fair to good, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Keepsake.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay; we booked on very short notice for our family including 2 dogs, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the house and its proximity to the beach. It is a quick walk to the beach and you can hear the ocean from the deck and the great room gets a lot of light during the day. The lay out is a little interesting and could be tough for a family with very small children (a lot of stairs and separated levels) but for us (older children) it worked well and we had no issues. The manager of the property was very responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Good property and very close to the beach

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. The pool and the location closed to the beach were a plus. We will definitively come back. Thank you the owner to drop off a great welcome gift. We really appreciated it and enjoyed it very much!

Nice older house with a great pool

This is a nice older home with a great pool. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking tools and there a ton beach toys/chairs provided. We bought the linen package and there was not a single dish towel or dish cloth provided so be sure to bring your own. Pool was full of leaves when we arrived and the rental company had someone out the next morning. Overall a great experience.

Saved our vacation!

Our stay at this property was lovely! We had thought Hurricane Dorian had ruined it for us because we were supposed to go to Hatteras Village. But Corolla was open for business and we decided to salvage a few days in OBX there! The house was comfortable and we had a fun time with family and doggy. And I’m not sure who it was but someone brought us a beautiful cheesecake from the owners!! And it was delicious!
